RG Rankings Review: Week of 10/10/2016

Welcome to the reintroduction of the Rankings Review, where we will review the TPOY rankings and Tiered rankings on a weekly basis. It should be no surprise who currently sits atop the TPOY standings as saahilsud has dominated the industry for quite some time now. Papagates and reigning TPOY champion ehafner are not going to concede the title as both are within 10,000 points. Some of the big movers of late include csuram88, who moved up 8 spots to 14th after winning the $5,300 Thunderdome on DraftKings and emitnulB, who moved up 21 spots to 23rd after 3 GPP wins on the 10/1 Sun-Mon Primetime slate.

Looking outside the top 25, RotoGrinders.com’s own BigT44 moved up 18 spots to 32nd after crushing end of season MLB and winning the $1,000 Gunslinger on FanDuel in NFL and TinkyTyler found himself as the only new member of the top 50.

The granddaddy of all the tiers, the Superheavyweight, sees the biggest names in all of DFS sitting at the top with saahilsud holding a huge lead over reigning TPOY ehafner, who is in 2nd and the current 3rd place youdacao. ChipotleAddict and scout326 round out the top 5. Only one new member emerged in the top 50 this week and it’s RotoGrinders.com contributor BigT44, who comes in at 42nd. The big mover of the week was gunz4hire, who moved up four spots to 24th. I’d list some of the other big names on the leaderboard but let’s get real here – they are all big names in this tier.

The Heavyweight leaderboard certainly has some of the heavy hitters of DFS with AshyL4rry, squirrelpatrol, and boggslite holding steady in the top three spots. MinneapolisAce made a huge move into the top 50 emerging in 19th place. Others moving into the top 50 (not shown here) are ackarmasports (33rd), bidle (45th), Garydpsu (48th), and Ainmhithe (50th). Not seen here but making a huge move was fjbourne, who moved up 13 spots to 30th place. Some other names in the top 50 include kcannon (8th), headChopper (13th), and naapstermaan (31st).

The top three of the Middleweight tier remain unchanged as ocdobv comes in at 1st, windchimesrrude 2nd, and DollarBill in 3rd. Only two newcomers to the tier rankings this week (not shown below) and they were franciscolora (39th) and wu36 (43rd). Top movers outside the top 25 were DDEVARON (up 9 to 33rd), Runj (up 8 to 41st), and joemarino27 (up 6 to 42nd).

The Welterweight leaderboard saw no change in the top three with Capri in 1st, chess_is_ok in 2nd, and mickeykid22 in 3rd. Boweryomama led the big movers as he moved up 12 spots to 15th. Other newcomers in the top 50 were pjm11 (up 10 to 37th), zshoom (up 8 to 38th), and myslinme (up 10 to 39th). Golferdude31 was the highest ranking new user to the top 50 coming in at 36th. Other new players entering the top 50 were JayKooks (43rd), bpoe13 (44th), TheFFOracle (45th), and BRORANNOSAURUS_FLEX (48th).

The Bantamweight leaderboard sees maineventers take the top spot this week as he moved past bluecrew07. Mxschnittker rounds out the top three. Kraz83 makes his presence known on the leaderboard emerging in 14th place. New users entering the top 50 were CodeBandit (38th), Tyler245 (45th), and rvmpj10 (50th). The three big movers of the week, all outside the top 25, were gliu87 (up 17 to 26th), lozingitall (up 10 to 28th), and jayboo17 (up 8 to 31st).

CZYX leads the way in the Flyweight Tier with deejones49 comfortably in second. Kratom rounds out the top three with Spaventoso lurking nearby in fourth (up 4 spots). ElwaysArmy moved up seven spots to 9th and was joined by joonbae(up 7 to 20th), Pennywize69 (up 16 to 22nd), jax2013 (up 12 to 24th), and BlazinTrails616 (up 7 to 43rd) as the big mover uppers. New to the top 50 of the tier rankings were randlan (49th), Capper21 (28th), and mnorrad, who debuted at 23rd.
