In Case You Missed It
- DraftKings Blows Your Mind – Not that any of us are surprised, but DraftKings pushed the envelope once again when they announced their upcoming major MLB series on a special edition of GrindersLive last night. And BOY they sure didn’t disappoint! A $3.3 million final hosted in Atlantis, along with a major series of tournaments throughout the summer, for a total of $6,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. - Another DFBC Seat Q, Another Grinder to Vegas – A big shoutout to RG member shanksalot for winning last night’s $10 DFBC qualifier to lock up a trip to Vegas. Huge days from Abreu, Seimen, Marte, and Garcia helped push him over the top on a very high scoring night. Shanks isn’t the most talked about Grinder, but he’s a DFS monster, and he’s ranked 67th on the RG overall leaderboard, and 24th on the TPOY leaderboard. Congrats shanks!
- Grinders Hit a Walk Off – Congrats to another Grinders member, saulgoodman on his huge win in the DK Walk Off last night, taking home a cool $100k! Saul had an incredible 7 home runs on his roster, and it’s worth noting that he paid up for both pitcher spots, proving it can work in GPPs as well as cash games. Outside of the top spot, TheTakeOVER, stlcardinalsfan84, and runitup all had top 10 finishes, so congrats to those guys as well! Grinders Nation takin ALL THE MONIES!
- UConn Seals the Deal – The Lady Huskies followed up the Men’s National Championship by handling the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with ease. In a battle of two unbeaten teams, UConn dominated down low, and took down ND 79-58. This marks the second time that UConn has won both National Titles in the same year. I’ll spare you all the gifs and celebrations, because you know the drill by now. UConn is the center of the college basketball universe.
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – Tons of games all around tonight. The NBA has a 12 game slate, including a late game where Portland hosts the Kings in a fast paced game that should have fantasy points galore. The MLB has a total of 14 games today, 5 of which are early games, so be sure to check for the early only GPPs on your respective site. Only 5 games on the ice tonight, but then again that’s pretty good for a Wednesday.
- Today’s GPP’s – The FanDuel NBA Slam is running at $70k tonight, with an MLB Grand Slam going off at $15k. Meanwhile on DraftKings, there are a few different $20k and $15k GPPs for both basketball and baseball at a wide range of buy ins.
