Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here with yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the the upcoming DFS day.

Grab your first cup of coffee and catch up on the latest news!

In Case You Missed It

  • Last Night’s GPP Action – It was the biggest night of the year in terms of NHL GPP action last night. Over on DraftKings, the $100,000 Breakaway went down. I_Slewfoot_U took down the $12,000 first place prize, riding Jamie Benn, Alex Ovechkin and Brooks Laich to the victory. #GrindersNation members KCannon and Crackmonkey83 took third and fourth place respectively. FanDuel ran their $40,000 Hat Trick last night with doubledown99 taking the $8,000 first prize. Pepsi7 is alive! He finished 11th.

  • Lebron’s MaskLebron James returned from his broken nose last night, looking more like one of our favorite professional wrestlers than a basketball player. Either way, apparently the mask holds magical powers, as he dropped 31 points on the hapless Knicks. Stylish or no?

  • The Basketball Diaries – Headchopper doesn’t leave, he just stays under the radar. We haven’t seen much writing from HeadChopper since football season ended. Turns out he was working on some bad-ass photoshop to go along with his new article “The Basketball Diaries”. Take a look as one of the best minds in the business breaks down his double-up team from the other night on FanDuel. The Basketball Diaries feat. HeadChopper

Today’s Events

  • NBA GPP Action Tonight – We’ve got seven games on the schedule tonight and some decent GPP action in the DFS world. Tonight on DraftKings is the finals of the Showcase, along with the $27 buy-in $100,000 MegaCrossover. Tonight on DraftStreet is DSBBC Qualifier #28, with a $22 buy-in. Tonight FanDuel is running a $110,000 Friday Slam with a $25 buy-in and $11,000 for first.

  • Daily Fantasy Fix Podcast With LDD from FD – Today on the Podcast, DB is joined by LenDon Diego (You down with LDD? Yeah you know me!) from FanDuel as they discuss the upcoming MLB season.

About the Author

  • Curtis Brodzina (DillingerFour)

  • Curtis DillingerFour Brodzina considers himself the Dave Barry Rick Reilly of DFS. He tries to find the humorous side of the sports world. An avid Penn State, Broncos and Pens fan, he fades Kunitz way too often. RotoGrinder’s own Cal had these poignant words for him as he was lamenting his last place finish in the RotoGrinders FreeRoll Bowl: “Nobody expects you to win D4, they just expect you to be funny.”
