In Case You Missed it
All-Star Starters – The NBA announced the starters for the 2015 All-Star Game in New York, and boy oh boy am I excited to watch the best players this league has to offer. I can’t wait to see LaMarcus Aldridge, Chris Paul, and James Harden take the court! I also am excited about the Atlanta Hawks – surely they have somebody in the starting lineup. What’s that? None of these guys made the starting lineup? Whaaaaaaaaaat? Melo is starting? Kobe too? Aren’t they both out for the season? No? Melo isn’t? Kobe will surely be replaced though, right?
Black Mamba down? – The Lakers revealed yesterday that Kobe Bryant has a torn rotator cuff, and for those of you who don’t know, those suckers hurt! The good news though is Kobe can shoot left handed, right Bean?
Today’s Events
Big Friday! – It’s a big Friday slate with a ton of juicy matchups. Personally, I’m looking forward to what the Mavericks can do to the Bulls, who are coming off a man-handling of the Spurs at home. The Mavs may be without an All Star this year, but they are All Stars in my heart. There are some other games on the docket though – 11 to be exact. They start at 7 PM EST, and go all the way to the late west coast starts at 9:30 PM.
Bigger Tournaments – FanDuel is raising the bar, as they have a Super Slam in the lobby with a $300K prize pool, the $2 Shot is up to $175K with a $10K first place prize, and even the $200 Monster is set at a nice $150K prize pool. Over on DraftKings we have the $20 Crossover with a $130K prize pool, the $2 Layup with a $65K prize pool, and don’t forget the FBWC qualifier for the 12th spot in the Vegas Championship. Today’s qualifier is for the high rollers, as the buy-in is set at $1,000!
Do you want a smaller qualifier? Maybe look over at Fantasy Aces, since they have a $109 qualifier in the lobby today to qualify for their Newport Beach live final! You only have to beat out 200 entries to win your place.
