Rise & Grind: Thursday, January 22nd

Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we run over yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed it

langston

Winning Streaks – The New York Knicks have a winning streak, and wouldn’t you know it, their future is all of a sudden brighter than ever! They have Langston Galloway! They have Lou Amundson! They have Carmelo Anthony! All aboard the Knicks train! We’re going to the ship! The New York Knickerbockers are back, baby! WOO!

All Star Break – The NHL is on its annual All-Star Break, and puck-heads around the world are sad by the temporary loss of their favorite pastime. It’s okay, though. The Predators are in first place with 65 points and everybody in the RotoGrinders office is celebrating with a game of ping pong.

Big Winners – Yesterday was a Wednesday, which naturally means that the NBA had plenty of games to offer and subsequently the DFS world had plenty of giant GPPs out there. On FanDuel, Grinder hondizzle (did I say that right?) took home first place in the Super Slam and came in second (with an entirely different team) in the Super Monster. Well done! On DraftKings we had a tie in the FBWC qualifier #11 between bfeinburg and donnybasbl, and these two will be going in a H2H Playoff for the final seat! Also last night, ant4det3 secured a seat in the FBWC with just a single bullet (it can be done gentlemen), and in the final hockey qualifier prior to the All-Star Break, sk123 came away with the gold in the $1000 qualifier and secured his seat in Vegas! Congrats to all.

Today’s Events

A four-game NBA slate gets us going today. It’s not the greatest of slates, but it’s a usable set for DFS purposes. The top sites have some big GPPs to go along with it though, so let’s keep the momentum going, as FanDuel has the $25 Slam at $200,000, the $200 Monster at $75,000 and the $2 Shot at $150,000! On the other side, DraftKings has the $20 Crossover at $110,000, the $200 Showtime at $50,000 and the $2 Layup at $65,000! So, there’s plenty of goodness to go around!

CBB Action – A huge slate awaits us on Thursday, and we’ll have FD and DK incentives picks to help you build your CBB rosters.

The PGA is Back! – The Humana Challenge kicks off, and we’ve got plenty of material on the home page to help you get your lineups ready! It locks early, so make sure to enter those tournaments before it’s too late! Also, make sure to check out Notorious and Gibby’s golf material, because it’ll lead you to victory.

On The Grinders Schedule

The Grind Down – Notorious is back with another edition of the Grind Down, your one-stop shop for detailed NBA analysis you won’t get anywhere else. Be sure to check it out.

The R&G will begin running on a daily basis. If there something you’d like to see in this column, or if you know of a Grinder with a notable win, leave a comment below. See you tomorrow!
