The DFS Showdown: Team Chalk vs Team Crazy
NFL Edition
So, for my regular readers who witnessed the MLB version of this duel, we bring you the NFL type next. That’s right, Team Crazy (Stevietpfl & TheSeigeDfs) are back for revenge against Team Chalk (Dean78904 & newly acquired GiantBallofOil) in an all-out battle to see whose lineup strategy reigns supreme.
This Sunday was game one of a best-of-seven series between the two, and they started this showdown off with a bang. The two teams went wire to wire, up until the final score of the last game for the Kansas City Chiefs, where Travis Kelce scored in garbage time to put Team Chalk ahead for good.
Both teams went with five of the same players this week, which is something we weren’t used to seeing to in the MLB version of the battle.
The remaining three spots were the players that counted in Game 1.
Team Chalk’s choice of rostering Kelce seemed to be the difference, but both teams opted to go with Le’Veon Bell, who, fresh off from his four-game suspension, had loads of steam to let off. Bell roasted for 144 rushing and 34 receiving yards from 5 receptions, ending up with a 25.8 DK points to give both teams a huge jump in their scores.
Him and his teammate Antonio Brown, with his two receiving touchdowns and 22.4 DK points, allowed the Steelers to annihilate the Chiefs in embarrassing fashion.
Final Score- Team Chalk 141.50 Team Crazy 140.60
The series is now 1-0, with Team Chalk in the lead.
Here are the two teams:
Dean78904 had this to say after his Game 1 victory over Team Crazy:
Game 2 will be this Sunday; look out for the results in Monday’s Rise & Grind.

MLB NL Wildcard RG Swag Contest
It’s October, which means two things – pumpkin spiced lattes and postseason baseball. Tonight is a huge game (which I’ll be at) between the New York Metropolitans and the San Francisco Giants in a winner-take-all brawl to see who moves on to the Divisional round against the Chicago Cubs.
I dare you to guess how many FanDuel points Madison Bumgarner finishes with. Closest assumption will receive a brand new deck of RotoGrinders playing cards.
Add your guesses in the comments section below and you could be the next person to acquire this awesome prize!
Good luck, and let’s go Metsies….oh wait.
