It’s here!!! It’s finally here!!!

No – I’m not talking about My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (although that’s here as well). I’m talking about the start of the Major League Baseball season.

Over the last couple months, you have probably heard whispers that we at RotoGrinders were planning to make a bunch of improvements to our Premium platform – taking everything readers already loved about Incentives and making it better…and adding new items to Premium to really take things to the next level.

Our goal? We want to create the best Premium DFS platform available anywhere online. For that matter: we want to create a platform that causes you to feel like you are ripping us off as a subscriber – getting way more than your money’s worth!

If you have been wondering what these changes might be, you do not have to wait any longer. I’m about to tell you all about them. If you are a Premium subscriber, here’s a look at what we have in store for you. If you’re not a Premium subscriber, here’s a look at what we have waiting for you on the other side. (Oh, and here’s a Cheat Code for you: if you are not a Premium subscriber, you can try Premium for seven days for free! Hang out with us the first week of the season and get to know all the awesome stuff we have.)

The first thing we wanted to do, in terms of “really taking Premium platform to the next level,” was expand the amount of in-depth, research/data-driven content being provided. Last MLB season, we took a risk in launching our first piece of in-depth, research/data-driven content with my MLB Edge on Tuesdays and Fridays. Why was that a risk? Put simply: the typical DFS content approach is to provide “picks,” but the goal behind this lengthier article was to provide content that was more focused on the research and the key statistics for that day (with very little in the way of pure picks!), in an effort to help the reader grow in knowledge, decision-making, and bankroll.

Throughout last baseball season, we received tons of positive feedback on that long-form content, and also received scores of screenshots from readers showing how much higher their ROI was on Tuesdays and Fridays compared to other days of the week.

Two months ago, we added JumpaHoo’s “Jump Shot” to our NBA content five days a week to test the success of this research/data-driven content in NBA, and once again we discovered that a massive majority of you loved this content that was more focused on “guiding the reader’s thought process” than on “providing the reader with picks.” In fact, we recently polled a large number of Premium subscribers, and there was an overwhelming consensus that this type of content was what readers were most excited to see more of.

You talked, and we listened! This season, we are going all-out on this in-depth, longer-form, research/data-driven content.

FanDuel subscribers will get to journey through the slate alongside the great mind of CheeseIsGood – who you may also know as the only two-time $1 million winner in MLB DFS history! Cheese will be heading up FanDuel content three days a week.

DraftKings subscribers will get to journey through the slate alongside none other than the legend STLCardinals84! STL has proven himself to be perhaps the most consistently dominating MLB DFS presence in the country over the last several years, and will be handling DraftKings content three days a week.

“What happens when Cheese and STL are not writing?” Great question! FanDuel subscribers will also get my MLB Edge two days a week (on the two weekdays Cheese is not writing), and DraftKings subscribers will get my MLB Edge two days a week as well (on the two weekdays STL is not writing). Oh, and for those of you who subscribe to both DraftKings and FanDuel: that means three in-depth articles from CheeseIsGood each week, three in-depth articles from STLCardinals84 each week, and four in-depth articles from me (JMToWin) each week!

And that’s just the beginning.

You’ll find a couple “familiar articles” still in Premium, with our Pitching Primer and our Tournament Tactics articles. Subscribers on each site will receive a full pitching breakdown seven days a week, with site-specific picks, and will receive position-by-position tournament picks from some of the top DFS minds in the industry. We’ve added some features to these articles to take them “next-level” from what they looked like before, and to help us chase our goal of providing the absolute best DFS content you can find anywhere online.

We are also adding a pair of new articles – one of which will be spearheaded by headChopper, titled “Game Selection,” and one of which will be headed up by DraftCheat, titled “All-Value Lineup.”

The idea behind “Game Selection” is that one of the greatest (and most overlooked!) keys to MLB DFS success is adjusting your game plan for the day based on what the slate offers. Some days are better for cash game play than others; some days are better for tourney play than others. Some days are better for pulling back a bit on bankroll risk, and some days are better for diving in a bit more deeply than normal. Each day, headChopper and other top DFS minds will examine the day’s slate from a big-picture perspective, and will pass along to the reader their thoughts on the best plan of attack for that day. Because this is one of the most overlooked elements of MLB DFS success, it is one of the most powerful ways to gain an edge over time!

The idea behind “All-Value Lineup” is that the best approach to DFS roster construction is often to start with a lineup that lists the least-expensive player you would feel comfortable rostering at each position. By doing this, you can figure out where the value is (and where you want to pay up), rather than starting with the most expensive players and then trying to save salary with scrub players who will lose you money far more often than not. Each day, DraftCheat and other top DFS minds will provide you with a screenshot of their “all-value lineup” for that day – showing you the least-expensive player at each position they would feel great about rostering, and digging into the “why” for each of these players. This will provide readers with a great foundation each day, which they can use to optimize their tournament lineups!

The final, big change – and perhaps the one all of our Premium writers are most excited about – is the overhaul to Expert Consensus Rankings. The first change to ECR is that our rankers are going to be far more focused on “point-per-dollar” ranks, rather than just raw-points ranks, which will go a long way toward helping readers spot some of the key places where they can generate increased performance within a site’s salary cap. Secondly, we will be tracking the accuracy of all our rankers, in order for readers to keep up with the Accuracy Rankings throughout the season! (Non-Premium subscribers will also be able to see Accuracy Rankings, as we’ll post them on the main site once per week, in order for everyone to be able to keep up with the race for the season’s most accurate ranker.)

We will also still have Expert Chat – where you can ask Notorious and other top DFS minds questions about that day’s slate – and we’ll have our Cheat Sheet (now headed up by Notorious!) and our Bargain Bin Ballers. Basically, Premium subscribers get all the good stuff they got before – plus a whole lot more!

If you are a Premium subscriber – welcome aboard what is sure to be an awesome ride through the MLB season!

If you are not a Premium subscriber – hang out with us for free for a week, and see what you’ve been missing!
