RotoGrinders 2016 TPOY Race Update
There are exactly 10 days left of DFS GPP contests left to accumulate RotoGrinders Tournament Player of the Year (“TPOY”) points. Realistically only one person has a shot to catch #1 ranked Grinder, saahilsud, and that is recent Millionaire Maker winner papagates. Saahil has held the top spot for the majority of the year. but papagates is a mere 6,821 points behind and with a $1,500 Millionaire Maker coming up this weekend as well as countless other big NFL GPPs, he could make a move into the top spot with a significant enough score.
Saahil’s top score of the year is a 6,898.65-point result for finishing second in the $5M Main Event Millionaire last month. Saahil has a staggering 20 results topping 2,000 points and he’s no one-sport wonder as he has numerous top results in the three major sports. Papagates received a staggering 10,628.71 points for his Millionaire Maker win in September and he followed that up with a win in the Wildcat in November for another 4,871.66. With his lowest score being 1,143.26, he’s going to need a huge weekend (probably a win in the Millionaire Maker) in order to pass Saahil, but as we all know, anything is possible in DFS.
The reigning TPOY ehafner had another great showing as he’s currently in thid place. DFS greats ChipotleAddict and youdacao round out the top 5. RG’s own Assani Fisher sits in the top 10 at #8 and he’s joined by another RG’er in jakz101 who rode his Millionaire Maker win to his current #18 ranking. New RG contributor wining247 also sits in the top 25 at #24. The 2014 TPOY winner, McJester, had another respectable showing as he’ll likely finish in the top 25 (currently 23rd). While everyone in the top 25 is a DFS great in their own right, some of the standout names in the top 25 include aejones (#11), draftcheat (#19), and csuram88 (#20).
Big movers of late include emitnulB (up 13 spots in the last month), peteyt (up 17 spots), NBA great Troll4MVP (up 9 spots), and fallfromgrace (debuting at #25 after being 41st in the last update).
