Seahawks vs. Bears Same Game Parlay Picks for Today

Allen of the Bears

DraftKings Sportsbook projects the Seahawks as big winners on Thursday Night Football. A 4-point spread separates the playoff-hopeful Seahawks from the hometown Bears. The Seahawks need a victory to keep playoff hopes alive, while Caleb Williams and company continue to play hard down the stretch.

Seahawks vs. Bears Same Game Parlay Preview

ScoresAndOdds reports that 80% of betting tickets side with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night. The game total is set at 41.5 points, with a majority of betting action on the over. With so few projected points, the public and sharper bettors seem to think the teams can go back-and-forth enough to exceed the total.

The NFL weather report for Thursday night seems relatively innocuous. We should have some light breeze with potential for some rain. The rain, though, should be rather light when it falls and shouldn’t make too great an impact. Despite the betting action and the good weather report, the line moved down nearly 2 points throughout the week.

Kenneth Walker will not play on Thursday night. Zach Charbonnet will be the starter and took advantage of a great opportunity in Week 15. Charbonnet will face a Bears team that has allowed the 2nd-most rushing yards to the running back position this season. The Bears have also allowed the 2nd-most rushing TDs to the running back position.

For the Bears, OT Braxton Jones suffered a fractured ankle and won’t be back until 2025. Aside from the tackle news, the only other newsworthy item is that Pete Carroll has interest in the Chicago Bears’ coaching vacancy. Seattle made the playoffs 10 times under Carroll’s watch.

For tonight’s game, the Seahawks need to win to keep pace with the Rams for the NFC West title. The Rams will play the now-eliminated Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night. With a win, the Seahawks keep a win-and-in scenario alive for Week 18 against the Rams. The Rams are projected for a sure playoff spot with a victory against the Cardinals. Chicago will try to play spoiler on Thursday night.

The Bears struggle against the rush but struggle just as much against the pass. The Bears’ defense ranks 31st in yards per pass attempt (7.4). The combined futility against the rush and pass results in a 5.9 yards per play average on defense. The Seahawks prefer to pass and rank 6th in pass attempts per game. Geno Smith attempted 43 passes last week.

The Seahawks’ defense is far more stalwart. On the season, Seattle has allowed 22.7 points per game. For the last 3 weeks, though, the Seahawks have given up 25 points per game. Chicago ranks just behind Seattle in scoring defense but has regressed over the last 3 weeks. Over the last 3 weeks, Chicago has allowed 34 points per game.

Geno and his receivers will find themselves in a plus matchup. Yet, Charbonnet finds himself in about as good a matchup for a running back in the NFL. Charbonnet leads all players in the game with a -195 price for an anytime touchdown and has a rushing line of 69.5 yards. 20+ carries feels like a likely outcome for Charbonnet.

For the Bears, Caleb Williams could throw the ball 30+ times again on Thursday night. Williams is accustomed to playing from behind and has thrown for over 300 passing yards in 4 games this season. The Seahawks’ defense will be a challenge overall, as they have allowed only 4.2 yards per rush attempt over the last 3 weeks.

With a projected winning game script for the Seahawks, Charbonnet looks to be the main beneficiary. After Charbonnet, the Bears’ pass catchers could benefit from playing from behind. Let’s build a same game parlay for Thursday Night Football.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Seahawks vs. Bears

Zach Charbonnet 70+ Rushing Yards

Charbonnet saw 1 rushing attempt against the Vikings on Sunday. Playing from behind all game and behind Walker, Charbonnet was not a factor on the ground. Tonight should feature a completely different context. Walker is out, while Charbonnet was cleared from the injury report and will be the top option. Finally, the Seahawks should be playing with a lead against an inferior Bears defense.

Charbonnet went off against the Cardinals in his first start without Walker, with 22 carries for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of the touchdowns was a 51-yard scamper. The Bears’ defense ranks far worse than the Cardinals against running backs.

I expect Charbonnet to see 20+ carries. This is a must-win situation for the Seahawks. A ladder is not out of the question.

Keenan Allen 60+ Receiving Yards

Allen has 13 targets in back-to-back games and seems to be the top option for Caleb Williams as the season winds down. With the Bears likely playing from behind again, we should anticipate a full workload for Allen.

Seattle is no picnic for wide receivers. Yet, Seattle is no picnic for any part of the Bears’ offense. Chicago’s best playmakers line up at wide receiver and must be utilized to keep this game within reason.

Allen does not need 13 targets to exceed 60 receiving yards. I think he gets there as the Bears throw from behind.

Tyler Lockett Over 17.5 Receiving Yards

Finally, I mentioned that the Bears are pretty futile against all facets of offense, and Lockett comes in with a very gettable receiving prop.

Lockett is no longer a focal point for the Seahawks’ offense. The running backs rank higher than Lockett, and both DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba should see far more targets than the veteran receiver. That said, Geno still attempts more passes than most and should look Lockett’s way a couple times.

Lockett would have cashed this prop in 5 of his last 7 games, and the Chicago defense is more generous than most of those matchups.
