The DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship begins Friday, January 11, 2019 and ends on Sunday, January 13 right after the Eagles-Saints game. The contest has a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool and a first-place prize of at least $1 million.

The DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship is not only a landmark event for the industry, it’s a huge boon to online sports betting in New Jersey. With 220+ entries – half who qualified through DraftKings and half who bought in directly for $10K – the event has the sports betting industry buzzing with excitement.

For one of the DKNSBC participants, the excitement will culminate in a million dollars. Here’s how it works: of the $10K buy-in, $5K goes to toward the leaderboard prize pool, while the remaining $5K is what each contestant will use as their bankroll for the event. There are two requirements that each participant must meet in order to remain eligible for the big leaderboard prize, both pertaining to amounts that must be wagered by a certain point in the weekending. Bettors must a) wager $1000 by the end of the day Saturday and b) put at least $2000 in additional action into play on Sunday – where all bets must be placed on only the two NFL playoff games.
