STLCards Wins $100,000 in PGA DFS Contest on DraftKings
Long-time RotoGrinders contributor, Justin ‘STLCardinals84’ Van Zuiden, had a big weekend in daily fantasy golf, netting six figures by finishing second in DraftKings’ feature PGA GPP for the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in sunny California.
One of Van Zuiden’s lineups finished in second place out of over 47,000 entries in the DraftKings DFS PGA TOUR $800K Invitational Special, which netted him a cool $100,000.
With four golfers who finished T-5 or better, including the event champion Adam Scott alongside Matt Kuchar, Hideki Matsuyama and Bryson DeChambeau, Van Zuiden’s well-rounded lineup finished a mere 1.5 points behind the winner (RG member kdsdawgbones). Matsuyama barely made the cut but then blazed through the weekend with rounds of 64 and 69, providing a major boost to STL’s chances of a big payday.
