Though the San Francisco 49ers have been penciled into Super Bowl 58 for the majority of the season, they only narrowly escaped being upset in each of their first two playoff games. Nevertheless, they overcame a 7-point 4th quarter deficit against the Packers and a 17-point 2nd half deficit against the Lions to punch their ticket to the big game on Sunday, where they will play Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ahead of kickoff in this Super Bowl matchup, the 49ers are favored by 2.5 points on the spread. The over/under is set at 47.5 points.

Super Bowl Props: Best Christian McCaffrey Prop Bets
- Christian McCaffrey UNDER 18.5 Rush Attempts
- Christian McCaffrey OVER 33.5 Receiving Yards
- Christian McCaffrey OVER 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns
Christian McCaffrey UNDER 18.5 Rush Attempts (+110), DraftKings
The Chiefs have one of the best formidable secondary units in the NFL, and their run defense is suspect, which understandably has the rushing attempts prop for Christian McCaffrey at a very high number ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl. Still, this is a really high number. McCaffrey ended with 20 rush attempts against the Lions, but that was the first time since Thanksgiving that he had reached that milestone. Against the Packers in the Divisional Round, McCaffrey had only 17 carries. There is simply no mathematical reason to pay extreme juice on the over in this spot. At plus-money, the under carries quite a bit of value — especially if expecting the Chiefs to win this game.
Christian McCaffrey OVER 33.5 Receiving Yards (-110), FanDuel
In San Francisco’s first two postseason games this year, Christian McCaffrey was targeted a whopping 17 times. His heavy involvement in the passing game against the Packers and Lions was tied somewhat to a negative game script in which the 49ers were playing from behind, which could be seen as a red flag for some bettors. However, there is no guarantee that the 49ers will be playing with a lead in the Super Bowl. Since 2000, teams that failed to cover ATS in each of their playoff games prior to the Super Bowl are 1-5 ATS and 1-5 SU on the big stage. If San Francisco ends up trailing in this game, we have a strong proof of concept as far as McCaffrey being involved as a pass-catcher. He could clear this market number in a positive game script as well, giving us multiple pathways to cashing this ticket.
Christian McCaffrey OVER 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns (-140), DraftKings
Even casual NFL fans have likely become familiar with Christian McCaffrey over the course of the last two years due to his unusually-high rate of finding the end zone. During the regular season, McCaffrey scored 21 times, 14 of which came on the ground. In 16 games played, McCaffrey ran for at least one touchdown 11 times. His dominance has continued into the postseason, scoring multiple touchdowns on the ground against both the Packers and Lions. The Chiefs defense is vulnerable on the ground, and even if they weren’t — McCaffrey is talented enough to find his way into the end zone on the ground. San Francisco traded for McCaffrey, hoping that he would be a key piece to help end their championship drought. They are likely to find a way to get their best player the ball if they end up in a short-yardage situation near the goal line. His anytime touchdown price is too juiced, but this is a unique way to get in on the action in a similar market.
