Vanek's Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Tips for Week 11 WRs
Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming NFL DFS main slate on DraftKings. Formerly of The 33rd Team and 4for4 Fantasy Football, Jordan will do a deep dive into the best ways to attack the wide receiver position to help you climb the leaderboards.
This past weekend was a strong showing, as we nailed some key plays, including getting to Ricky Pearsall in the 49ers stack and incorporating George Pickens and Bijan Robinson into several successful builds. This week, the focus shifts to building on that momentum, avoiding pitfalls like injuries, and continuing to craft sharp, competitive lineups. For Week 11, I’m excited about several contrarian players who could help us gain an edge on the slate.
As always, I encourage you to check out our NFL DFS projections and NFL DFS optimizer LineupHQ. Keep in mind that some of these plays may become less contrarian as the slate approaches, so staying updated is crucial. We also provide some of the best ownership guidelines in the game, helping you make informed decisions about which players to prioritize in your GPP lineups.
Now let’s get into my views on the slate.

Vanek’s Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Tips for Week 11 WRs
Stacks
Mac Jones ($4,900, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Brian Thomas Jr. ($6,100, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Evan Engram ($5,200, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Jahmyr Gibbs ($7,300, RB, Detroit Lions)
Jameson Williams ($5,800, WR, Detroit Lions)
When I said contrarian, I meant it. I don’t believe last weekend’s performance by Mac Jones should be seen as a predictor for this week. Brian Flores is a defensive mad scientist, and his schemes have caused even the best quarterbacks to struggle this season.
Over the past few weeks, the Lions have played well above their usual standards, but when analyzing their matchups, I think this will be a game where they give up points. The Texans’ offensive line has been terrible, allowing the Lions to capitalize with negative plays. Jordan Love was hampered by a hamstring injury that left him immobile, and the Titans had some success offensively, but they were undone by big plays, special teams miscues, and turnovers. Mac Jones is prone to similar issues, but he is a capable passer. I think his ceiling is carried by Brian Thomas and Evan Engram, who are likely to account for 70-80% of the passing production. This offense has real potential and a clear path to get their offensively. Brian Thomas has been one of the best separators against man coverage this year, and the Lions play man at the highest rate in the NFL.
These favorable price points also allow you to stack the Lions’ big play makers, such as Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams. Gibbs has been incredibly efficient against man/gap running schemes, averaging over 5 yards per carry, which is significant given the Jaguars’ struggles against these looks. In the passing game, the Jaguars have been vulnerable to deep shots, and Jameson Williams is the ideal player to exploit this weakness. The Jaguars rank in the bottom 5 in yards allowed on routes 6-9, and when Jared Goff goes deep, Williams has been his primary target. I expect that trend to continue.
