Week 1 was one of the highest-scoring opening weeks we’ve seen. It was awesome to see so many offenses already in rhythm this early in the NFL season, and it sets us up for a great Week 2. There were a lot of offenses that impressed me, and we’ll discuss several of them throughout the article.

Week 2 is about identifying the trends that will stick, figuring out which statistics matter, and avoiding the ones that don’t. The NFL is a copycat league, so we’ll see teams use similar concepts to attack defenses that showed weaknesses in Week 1. Usually, it takes some time for offenses to settle in, but a lot of them are already in rhythm, and now we’re looking for which teams can build on it.

Our NFL DFS projections will help capture the stats that matter, adjust to injury news, and show how pOWN% settles throughout the week. Ownership won’t be as significant to me on the main slate, but identifying extreme chalk can uncover some great leverage spots, especially on the early-only and afternoon slates.

Game Stacks

Dak Prescott ($6,400, QB, Dallas Cowboys)

CeeDee Lamb ($7,300, WR, Dallas Cowboys) or George Pickens ($6,300, WR, Dallas Cowboys)

Jake Ferguson ($3,800, TE, Dallas Cowboys)

Terry McLaurin ($5,200, WR, Washington Commanders)

The Dak double stack is set up very well this weekend, in my opinion. Ferguson is at such a great price point with multiple-touchdown upside. The Commanders’ LB room lost Bobby Wagner and replaced him with Sonny Styles, who is an elite talent but isn’t ready yet to handle all the responsibility that comes with being a middle linebacker.

On the perimeter, I don’t have a real lean between Lamb and Pickens. It’s all about how the salary fits into your lineup, as both are in a great spot.

McLaurin had a rough matchup last weekend, and I believe he’ll have a nice bounce-back game against this Cowboys secondary. There were a lot of holes in this defense, and they also lost Malik Hooker, who is a good safety. I think Dallas will be exposed downfield in this matchup with some of the key injuries, and McLaurin will be the catalyst. Now I don’t mind Jayden Daniels stacks, but I do worry that this OL is very bad and will prevent him from having the ceiling performance you are looking for this weekend.
