Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming NFL DFS main slate on DraftKings for Week 3. Last week’s slate had me on the right Cowboys plays and a great low-owned Panthers stack, but the RBs were horrible. I also didn’t get enough Jaxon Smith-Njigba because I prioritized the high-priced RBs.

This week features a lot of fun game environments, and my player pool will be a bit more expanded. The cheap QBs are all very appealing, but I also see the reasoning for paying up at the position. Ultimately, I think going with a cheap QB and jamming in the top options at RB and WR will be the best way to attack this slate.

Our NFL DFS projections will help capture the onslaughts that matter, adjust to injury news, and show how pOWN% settles throughout the week. We are going to get chalkier plays this week and will have some key decision points.

NFL DFS DraftKings Picks: Top Stacks, RBs, WRs, & TEs for Week 3

Game Stacks

Kyler Murray ($5,100, QB, Minnesota Vikings)

Justin Jefferson ($7,500, WR, Minnesota Vikings) and/or Jordan Addison ($4,900, WR, Minnesota Vikings)

Emeka Egbuka ($6,200, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

I believe Murray won’t get a lot of love with Jameis Winston being $1,100 cheaper, but I like him a lot for a few reasons. For starters, I expect the passing rate to be much higher in this spot with the injuries to the RB room and Aaron Jones coming off a heavy workload.

According to Fantasy Points, over the last 3 years, this offense ranks 7th in yards per attempt and 3rd in aDOT against single-high coverage. The Vikings should see a lot of single-high looks against Todd Bowles’ defense, and I expect this offense to push the ball downfield.

The stacking partners come down to the trio of Jefferson, Addison, and Jauan Jennings ($3,600, WR). I don’t mind doubling up with any two of them, but my preference is to keep it to one and hope Murray adds to his score with his legs. Addison is so cheap that I think he’s one of the best plays on the slate.

I don’t think you need to force a bring-back, but Egbuka has seen the most targets against the blitz, and I think he’s best suited to generate an explosive play against this Vikings defense.
