Week 1 of the NFL regular season is in the books, and we are back for more this weekend! Following an exciting Thursday Night Football matchup, 28 teams are in action on Sunday, providing the betting community with plenty of available options to consider for their card.

Though sides and totals are popular options for bettors, those lines are often picked over and extremely sharp by the time kickoff rolls around on Sunday afternoon. If choosing to wager instead on the player prop market, we have three prop leans for Sunday’s 14-game slate!

NFL Week 3 – Best Bets: Player Props

Ja’Marr Chase o6.5 Receptions (-130), FanDuel

The Baltimore Ravens’ secondary unit is extremely thin going into this weekend’s action. Starting cornerback Marlon Humphrey and starting safety Marcus Williams are both listed as out on the official injury report. Starting in place of Humphrey, Brandon Stephens will draw the majority of snaps opposite of Ja’Marr Chase. Last weekend, Stephens allowed eight receptions and 44 yards after the catch against the Houston Texans, a team that does not have any receiver in the same stratosphere of talent as Chase. Expect Chase to be a frequent target of Joe Burrow in this matchup and for him to have a great chance to hit the over in this spot.

DK Metcalf o4.5 Receptions (-150), Bet365

In 2022, DK Metcalf had some of his best games from a receptions standpoint when he faced teams that deployed a high rate of man coverage. Against defenses that ranked in the top 10 for man coverage usage last season, Metcalf had seven catches, seven catches, five catches, one catch, six catches, and eleven catches. Metcalf had five catches for 47 receiving yards in Week 1 despite the Seattle Seahawks’ overall offensive struggles. In a more favorable Week 2 matchup, Metcalf should have an even better day at the office.

NFL DFS Pick’em

Bijan Robinson More Than 18.5 Receiving Yards, PrizePicks

If there is one thing that we learned from Week 1, it is that the Atlanta Falcons are still allergic to throwing the football downfield. Consequently, the running backs are going to be frequent targets in the Atlanta passing attack on a weekly basis in 2023. Robinson flashed his tantalizing upside in small doses during the season opener against the Carolina Panthers and is likely in line for an even bigger role in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. Robinson could cover this number on a single reception – any additional chances only increase the likelihood of this recommendation proving fruitful.
