NBA Player Props Today – Saturday, May 18, 2024

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 19.5 Points
Caitlin Clark Over/Under 5.5 Assists
Jonquel Jones Over/Under 14.5 Points

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 19.5 Points

We have hit the under twice this week on Caitlin Clark, taking her to score under her points prop in consecutive games. Despite her prolific scoring numbers in college, it’s been immediately evident that she is going to struggle with her efficiency early in her WNBA career, facing tougher competition and more capable defenders on a nightly basis.

Clark enters play on Saturday shooting only 30.4% from the field and 27.8% from the 3-point line. In a tough matchup against Liberty, the under makes sense here.

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 5.5 Assists

If there is one area of the game in which Caitlin Clark appears poised to have an immediate impact at the WNBA level, it’s as a facilitator. After having only 3 assists in Indiana’s season opener against Connecticut, Clark posted 6 assists on Thursday against New York despite the fact that her team scored only 66 points.

The Fever averaged 81.0 points per game in 2023, and no team averaged fewer than 76.6 points per game for the season. As Indiana’s offense begins to figure some things out, it’s likely that Clark will end up averaging around 6 assists per game, which gives this play good value on Saturday – even in a tough matchup.

Jonquel Jones Over/Under 14.5 Points

In 5 games against Indiana since the beginning of last season, Jonquel Jones has scored fewer than 14 points only once, indicating that she is consistently competitive at this market number. Jones scored only 14 points against the Fever on Thursday, but she played only 29 minutes in a blowout game script.

Jones’ 29 minutes in that game were her fewest in a non-preseason game since last September. Even still, if Jones were more efficient with her 11 shot attempts, she would have cleared this number.

Indiana has struggled to defend in the restricted area and against above-the-break 3-point attempts to begin 2024, which are the two areas of the floor where Jones attempts nearly all of her shots. If Jones experiences any positive regression in shooting percentage today, she should be good for 15+ points.
