WNBA Player Props Today – Friday, May 24, 2024

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 20.5 Points
Caitlin Clark Over/Under 3.5 3-Pointers Made
Cameron Brink Over/Under 7.5 Points

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 20.5 Points

Through 5 games this season, Clark is averaging 17.8 points per game and has yet to score more than 22 points in any individual game. Still, the market continues to roll out market numbers north of 20 point due to her popularity and the desire for the public to bet her overs.

The Sparks are far from an elite defense, but they rank 10th out of 12 teams in pace, which is likely to limit the total number of possessions for both teams. Clark has only one game in which she’s shot better than 45.5% from the field, with the majority of her made shots coming from the perimeter. If Los Angeles can limit Clark inside the 3-point arc, they should be able to keep her below this market number.

Caitlin Clark Over/Under 3.5 3-Pointers Made

Clark has played 5 regular season WNBA games this season, attempting at least 7 shots from beyond the arc in each of those contests. Tonight, Clark gets a favorable matchup against a Los Angeles defense that has allowed the 3rd-most above-the-break 3-point attempts in the league this season. Only Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Chicago have allowed a higher success rate than Los Angeles on such attempts.

Clark enters play ranked 3rd in the WNBA in shot attempts from above the break per game. At even money, this is a worthwhile risk, given her expected volume. If she can be reasonably efficient with her opportunities, the math checks out here.

Cameron Brink Over/Under 7.5 Points

Brink is off to a slow start to begin her WNBA career, averaging only 6 points per game through his first 3 regular season games. That being said, from a betting perspective, it’s encouraging to see her earning more and more minutes with each passing game. Brink played only 20 minutes in the team’s season opener, but she played 25 minutes on Saturday against Las Vegas and 30 minutes against Washington earlier this week.

Entering play on Friday with two days of rest, Brink should be good for close to 30 minutes against an Indiana team that ranks worst in the WNBA in defensive rating in 2024. This past summer’s No. 2 overall draft selection should have a good chance to get at least 8 points in this spot.
