Sunday, July 15th

I hope everyone has had a great MLB season thus far and enjoys the All-Star break. Let’s go into the break strong with a solid day today.

Standout Arms

Justin Verlander vs Tigers: $58
This is an interesting slate today with both Coors and good pitching, but with weather concerns at Coors Field, I find myself prioritizing the high end pitching at this point. It all starts with Verlander at home against his former team. He comes into today with a 3.00 SIERA, 31.6% K%, and a 13.1% SwStr%. It’s really all about the matchup here, as he gets just a bad Tigers team who rank 16th in K%, 29rd in wOBA, and 27th in ISO, and 30th (dead last) in wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching this season. Verlander pitches deep into games and should be able to rack up safe innings with strikeouts in this one.
