Max Scherzer vs Mets: $62

This slate is all about the pitching. Man, we have no shortage of aces. Starting at the top is Mad Max. He’s coming off a rough three-start stretch where he’s disappointed, especially when the opposing pitchers have been hitting him, but I’m willing to bet he comes out blazing tonight. He comes into today with a 2.62 SIERA, 35.4% K%, and a 16.9% SwStr%. It’s really all about the matchup here, as he gets just a bad Mets team who rank 14th in K%, 23rd in wOBA, and 13th ISO vs. right-handed pitching this season. More importantly, since June 1st those numbers change to 7th in K%, 28th in wOBA, 19th in ISO, and 28th in wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching. He’s the clear number one tonight.
