Thursday, March 15th

Tonight, we have a nine game slate with no teams on the second half of a back-to-back. Let’s have a look at some of my favorite plays for tonight.

Point Guard

PG: Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs, $19
The Spurs and Pelicans are both in must-win mode battling for playoff spots and Murray has seen a $3 price drop because of a recent decline in minutes in his last two games. I’m not so worried though, as he gets a pace-up spot in an elite matchup for point guards against the Pelicans, currently ranked 3rd in pace and 20th in DVP vs. the point guard position. Since the All-Star break, Murray is averaging 25.9 minutes, 21.2% usage, 20.1 AST%, 52% true shooting, and 50% from three. The Pelicans allow tons of extra usage, threes, twos, free throws, assists, and rebounds to opposing point guards. Murray is an exceptional rebounder for a guard and should be able to pick up peripherals with his great defense against the speedy Pelicans. Sure the decline in minutes is somewhat of a concern, but with his price drop and overall trends he could blow through expectation with this price decrease in this matchup.
