Week 3
Injuries are already starting to take their toll. We know the NFL season is a war of attrition, and for DFS it means backups thrust into higher-value roles at discounted price tags.
The easy response is to jam in the cheap touches, but we’re constrained by more than just the salary cap. We have roster constraints as well. Every player in your lineup is taking the place of a bunch of potential alternatives, from other players to other configurations.

Exploitable Situations
Alvin Kamara @ATL
Early in the week, Alvin Kamara looked like the play everyone would be on. As the week has rolled along and a ton of cheap RB options have opened up, I’m starting to catch wind of cash configurations that feature three RBs not named Kamara. I even heard how he didn’t play well against Atlanta last year, even though he left their first matchup with a concussion on the first drive.
I don’t want to spend a ton of time on this, but he’s very much worth his high price tag. We know Atlanta concedes a ton of targets to the RB position, and we know that RB receiving is huge for both the floor and ceiling of a back. I wrote up the relevant info last week for McCaffrey if you’re interested. Suffice to say McCaffrey’s 15 targets didn’t change the trend.
