Back-to-Back Games: Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That

There’s always a lot of talk about players playing games on back-to-back nights and how that can negatively impact their overall performance. In fact, hoops writers have even come up with an acronym for this occurrence called “SEGABABA” (second game of a back-to-back). Yeah, I know, the acronym adds a lot of unnecessary letters, but the fact that we even HAVE an acronym for it, means that writers talk about it enough that they’ll take any shortcuts they can to avoid having to spell it out every time.

We mention this phrase a lot, and rightfully so – players ARE affected by these quirks in the NBA schedule.
