Leaving Salary on the Table in Small Slates

When you’re playing DFS in any form, the most important aspect is always finding value. Players are obviously priced based on expected value, which makes it your job to analyze who’s underpriced and thus gives you the best lineup possible. Typically that involves spending all of your salary cap to ensure yourself the best chance (maybe a couple hundred dollars are left over here and there).

When playing in a large slate of 10-plus games, it’s generally pretty easy to spend all your salary. It’s like putting together a puzzle — even though there will be way too many pieces left over, you’re going to find something you like that fits perfectly within the salary you’re allowed.

When we’re playing small slates (particularly two to four-game slates) it’s not always as important to get every last piece of meat off the bone.
