Pos – A player’s position
AB – At Bats
K% – Strikeout Percentage
WHAVG – Well Hit Average. An Inside Edge exclusive measure of how many at bats result in a “Well Hit” ball. The Inside Edge scouts rate how hard the contact was on a scale of 1-9. The ratings of 7-9 are considered “well-hit”. 4-6 are “medium contact” and 1-3 are “weak contact”. The WHAVG metric is simply Well-Hit Balls / AB.
SLG – Slugging Percentage

vs. Pitch Type/vs. Command – The player’s well hit average against the pitch type or command group for that row.

For example: If Giancarlo Stanton has a .312 in the “vs. Pitch Type” column and the “Pitch” column is labeled “FB Soft”, that means that he has a .312 WHAVG aganst soft fastballs.

Difference – The difference between their standard WHAVG and the WHAVG against that pitch type or command group.

Pitch – The type of pitch that relates to the data in that row. Pitch types can include:
Command – The command group that relates to the data in that row. This is based on the opposing pitcher.
