RotoGrinders King of Summer

When it is
The FINAL King of Summer contest is the MLB $50K Mini 3-Max Blast Championship beginning on Friday, 8/26 at 7:05pm ET. Play now!
The King of Summer will take place between now and the end of August. Prizes will be awarded both on a monthly and season-long basis, with a King of June, King of July, King of August and King of Summer all being crowned.
DraftKings will host approximately one contest each week that are flagged as being a part of this King of Summer challenge. Here is the current list, which we’ll be updating weekly:

How to play
This contest is open exclusively to RotoGrinders members. To participate:
1. You MUST have your DraftKings screen name in your Grinders Profile by the end of each contest.
2. Play in each, individual King of Summer event. Your top finish in each contest will automatically accumulate points towards the King of Summer leaderboards, assuming you completed Step 1 above and have your DK screen name added to your profile here on RotoGrinders.
Heads up: based on our scoring methodology, not playing in a contest will give you a lower score than being in the “lowest” percentile, so be sure to fire an entry into each weekly contest!
None of your results will count towards the King of Summer until you add your DraftKings screen name to your RG profile, so be sure to handle that first!
Scoring
Each participant’s top finish (yes, you can multi-enter) will be scored with its exact percentile in that contest. This will help us normalize variations in contest sizes and scoring, since this will span multiple sports the next few months.
Your lowest score each month will be thrown out for the “King of the Month” prizes. Your three lowest scores overall will be thrown out for the final King of Summer standings.
The person with the highest average percentile across contests wins.
Please note that we reserve the right to correct any scoring or display issues throughout the contest

Scoring – An Example
Here’s what a strong score might look like, when it’s all said and done:
Let’s take a made-up participant, who goes by the username FakeDude615:
FakeDude615 finished 182nd out of 143,750. That puts him well in the 99th percentile (meaning well inside the top 1%). More specifically, it means he finished in the 99.8734 percentile. The formula King of Summer is using for that is:
100 – (place_finished / entrants x 100)
FakeDude615’s current score for “King of the Month” is his average percentile in all three contests:

Prizes
We’ll be awarding added prizes to the King of June, King of July, King of August, and ultimately, King of the Summer.
For each month June-August, the “King of the Month” leaderboard will receive the following in DK dollars:
· 1st: $1000
· 2nd: $600
· 3rd: $400
· 4th: $300
· 5th: $200
· 6th-10th: $100
· 11th-110th: $20
Multiply that by 5x and you have the overall King of Summer prize pool:
· 1st: $5000
· 2nd: $3000
· 3rd: $2000
· 4th: $1500
· 5th: $1000
· 6th-10th: $500
· 11th-110th: $100
Note: Full-time RotoGrinders employees are not eligible for prizes.
This is $40,000 in added prizes throughout the summer, and all you need to do is play in each King of Summer contest to participate!
