Nik Stauskas Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Nik Stauskas is OUT
Not a whole lot of DFS impact here, perhaps slightly more run for Jordan Clarkson or David Nwaba since Stauskas did get 13 minutes on Friday. Obviously you weren't playing Stauskas.
Nik Stauskas (quad) will “probably play” Tuesday
In typical Terry Stotts fashion, he confirmed with reporters during his pregame media availability that Stauskas will "probably play" in Tuesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks after previously being listed as questionable with a right quad contusion. Meanwhile, Maurice Harkless will miss his sixth consecutive game, which clears the way for Jake Layman to continue starting at small forward despite playing more than 18 minutes on just two occasions this season. Stauskas has had a semi-consistent role in Stotts' rotation, but his 20.2 minutes average combined with a 17.2% usage rate keeps him irrelevant for daily fantasy formats as long as the Trail Blazers remain healthy in the backcourt.
Nik Stauskas (ankle sprain) ruled out Monday
Stauskas has been ruled out and won't play tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being listed as questionable on the Brooklyn Nets' injury report with a sprained left ankle. His absence carries a bit more significance than normal, as DeMarre Carroll has already been ruled out with a right knee injury he sustained during Saturday's loss, leaving the Nets relatively thin at the wing positions. Caris LeVert did confirm with reporters following shootaround this morning that he'll be ready to go for Monday's contest following a two-game absence due to a strained left groin, but Joe Harris will enter the starting lineup alongside Allen Crabbe on the wing. There will be some extended minutes available for LeVert and other ancillary bench players since Carroll has led the Nets with an average of nearly 29 minutes per game this season. However, the main beneficiary of his unavailability in terms of usage and production appears to be Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, as he owns a +2.8% usage rate differential with Carroll off the court this season and has averaged 1.13 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.15 on FanDuel in this scenario, as well.
Nik Stauskas (ankle sprain) questionable Monday
Stauskas has been added to the Brooklyn Nets' injury report and is questionable for tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors due to a sprained left ankle. His possible absence carries a bit more significance than normal, as DeMarre Carroll has already been ruled out with a right knee injury he sustained during Saturday's loss, leaving the Nets relatively thin at the wing positions should Stauskas be ruled out closer to tipoff. Caris LeVert did confirm with reporters following shootaround this morning that he'll be ready to go for Monday's contest following a two-game absence due to a strained left groin, but he is still unlikely to start in Carroll's place, and Joe Harris should enter the starting lineup alongside Allen Crabbe on the wing. There will be some extended minutes available for LeVert and Stauskas, if he plays, since Carroll has led the Nets with an average of nearly 29 minutes per game this season.
Jahlil Okafor and Nik Stauskas will be active Tuesday, but unlikely to play
Okafor and Stauskas will both be active and available off the bench for tonight's game against the Washington Wizards but neither are expected to make their Brooklyn Nets debut, according to head coach Kenny Atkinson and contradicted himself in his pregame presser, first stating "never say never" when asked about Okafor and Stauskas playing tonight and then later stating that both players "need to earn playing time", hinting that are unlikely to play Tuesday night. That said, it's safe to say that Okafor and Stauskas should be avoided in all formats and even the rotational players at their respective positions carry a little more risk with the threat that Atkinson might throw them on to the court mid-game on a whim.
Sixers trade Jahlil Okafor and Nik Stauskas for Trevor Booker, Nets will release Sean Kilpatrick
The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a trade Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas, and a second-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Trevor Booker and, in order to make room for both players on the active roster, Brooklyn will release Sean Kilpatrick, who has seen sporadic playing time of late in the backcourt rotation. In terms of Thursday's daily fantasy slates, this trade has a few impacts as Stauskas' absence could free up a few minutes for Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Jerryd Bayless off the bench is T.J. McConnell is unable to suit up. On the Brooklyn side, Booker and Kilpatrick's playing time will likely be spread around to Tyler Zeller, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, DeMarre Carroll, and Allen Crabbe, though Zeller may be the only one to see a significant enough bump to warrant any additional consideration in daily fantasy formats.
Nik Stauskas (ankle sprain) doubtful for Saturday
Stauskas has officially been listed as doubtful on the Philadelphia 76ers injury report for tomorrow's game against the Golden State Warriors with a sprained right ankle. Unfortunately, Stauskas' likely unavailability doesn't affect the Sixers rotation in any way, as he has only seen the court in three games this season and has failed to play more than eight minutes in any such contest. This means we can approach Sixers players as we normally would for daily fantasy formats on Saturday.
Sergio Rodriguez (hamstring) officially ruled out tonight for 76ers; will miss remainder of season
Rodriguez has missed the last six games due to his hamstring injury and he's officially being shut down for the season. T.J. McConnell will continue to start and play plenty of minutes while Nik Stauskas picks up extended minutes off the bench. Philadelphia takes on the Bucks tonight, which favors point guards over other positions.
Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter both probable for 76ers tonight
Neither player should log significant playing time and are not viable DFS options. They will take a few minutes, however, from the likes of Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nik Stauskas though so give them a slight downgrade.
Gerald Henderson replacing Nik Stauskas in the starting lineup tonight
Henderson will be reinserted into the starting lineup at shooting guard for tonight's game against the Milwaukee, sending Nik Stauskas back to the bench to resume his reserve role. Additionally, Richaun Holmes will also be good to go after carrying a probable designation throughout the day with right hamstring tightness. Holmes will draw the start at center once again given the Sixers current lack of depth in the frontcourt with Jahlil Okafor officially ruled out. Assuming Holmes is healthy enough, he should see all the minutes he can handle with Justin Harper and fellow starter Dario Saric the only big men that can even conceivably absorb some minutes at the five spot. This vaults Holmes and Saric into elite play status on Monday's slate.
