Impressive rookie on the Leafs' blue-line
After posting 18 points in 24 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies this season, Travis Dermott is finally getting his chance with the big club. The 21-year-old blue-liner scored his first NHL goal (and added an assist) in last night's win over the New York Islanders and logged nearly 20 minutes of playing time in the process. Dermott uncorked five shots on goal in that game as well and Mike Babcock even utilized his offensive skills with some work on the point of the second power-play unit. Dirt-cheap across the industry, Dermott sees a fantasy boost as the New York Rangers have allowed an ugly 61.54 CA/60 this season.
