What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – STL -280
Pitcher Grind Down
STL – There aren’t many sure things in baseball, but I think this is as close to a sure thing as we are going to get. Adam Wainwright has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season and he is facing one of the worst offenses. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Wainwright has a good game. I’m pretty daring aren’t I? I think Wainwright could be in for a complete game win tonight, he is going to be worth every penny. Target
HOU – Bud Norris isn’t a very good pitcher on the road and he is by far the biggest underdog of the night. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
STL – Allen Craig is 7/17 off of Norris with 2 HR’s and a double. I like his chances for a big game tonight. The rest of the Cards are in play as well. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one be a 7-0 game for the Cards.
HOU – Avoid any research concerning the Astros today, it will save you time.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – Pick ‘Em
Pitcher Grind Down
ARI – Ian Kennedy has really turned his season around over the last month or so, but at this point, I just don’t like taking pitchers against this Dodgers lineup that is finally looking like the beast that management was expecting. Avoid
LAD – Ricky Nolasco is making his first start as a Dodger. I think he will pitch well in Dodger Stadium, but this game is in Chase Field which is a hitter’s park. Nolasco should struggle in his first outing as a Dodger. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
ARI – Miguel Montero seems to have good BvP against every pitcher. Then almost every night, he ends up letting me down. He should be in a good spot once again though. Also like Paul Goldschmidt.
LAD – The Dodgers lineup is raking right now. I think the way to treat them tonight is if they are good value, consider taking them. If they are overpriced, stay away and look for some better options.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – SD -130
Pitcher Grind Down
SD – Volquez really let me down last night, but I am hoping that Stults can redeem the Padres pitching staff for me. Stults has been money at home with a 2.85 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP. I think he has a nice bounce back game against the Rockies after having two terrible starts in a row on the road. Target
COL – Jhoulys Chacin has really looked good on the road this season. In 5 road starts, he has posted a 2.05 ERA, a 1.14 WHIP, and is striking out 8 batters per 9 innings. Great value play if you can find him for a good price. In Play
Batter Grind Down
- I think this game is going to be a pitcher’s duel. Not the two most likely candidates for a pitcher’s duel, but it is in Petco. May be a good spot to play both pitchers if you play on multi pitcher sites.

BOS vs R | BOS BvP | SEA vs R | SEA BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – SEA -125
Pitcher Grind Down
SEA – Hisashi Iwakuma has looked very uncharacteristic in his last 4 starts. He has given up 4 earned runs in each of those starts and didn’t top 6 K’s in any of them. He still owns excellent numbers at home though with a 1.84 ERA and a 0.63 WHIP. His struggles in his last few starts have lowered his price so much that I think he is a must play on a few sites. Even with the tough matchup. Target
BOS – Allen Webster has an ERA close to 8 on the season. I’m surprised that the line is only -125 for the Mariners. I think the Mariners put up at least 4 runs tonight. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
SEA – The Mariners look to be in a great spot if you dare take any Mariners bats. Raul Ibanez is red hot, Kendrys Morales has been swinging a hot bat, and Nick Franklin is raking. All in play tonight.
BOS – If Ellsbury is out again, it really hurts the Red Sox lineup. Iwakuma has been almost unhittable at home and I’m siding with the M’s in this one.

NYM vs L | NYM BvP | SFG vs R | SFG BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – SF -135
Pitcher Grind Down
SF – This may be one of the strangest seasons that I can remember for a starting pitcher. Barry Zito road ERA is 5 times that of his home ERA. And it’s not like it has only been a few starts, he has 10 starts at home and 7 on the road. There must be something in that San Francisco water. Zito is dirt cheap across the board and faces a weak Mets offense. Can he keep up those home numbers? In Play
NYM – Dillon Gee has really bounced back nicely after his season-ending injury last season. His one problem though, has been his struggles on the road. 6.02 ERA and a 1.600 WHIP don’t lead me to be too confident in him tonight. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
SF – Buster Posey is the only Giants bat that you can trust right now, the rest of their bats have gone cold.
NYM – Zito has been good at home, but if he turns into the road Zito, the Mets could have a big night. I wouldn’t play any Mets in h2h games, but a mini Mets stack makes a great GPP play.
