Browns vs. Steelers Player Props
Ben Roethlisberger o235.5 passing yards (-110)
PrizePicks: O/U 220.5 Yards
Underdog: O/U 235. 5 Yards
Per Pro Football Focus, Ben Roethlisberger has graded as the 34th ranked quarterback out of 39 players with a qualifying number of snaps this fall. He is also playing behind one of the worst pass-blocking offensive lines in the NFL. Still, it is likely the final home game of his illustrious career, the Browns are missing both of their starting safeties, and this is a fairly reachable number for his yardage total. In 14 games played in 2021, Roethlisberger has reached 236 passing yards eight times (57.1 percent hit-rate). Bettors should always caution against narrative-betting, but it is not unreasonable to think Head Coach Mike Tomlin allows his veteran signal caller to sling the ball around the field a little bit extra tonight. When these two teams met earlier this season, Roethlisberger totaled 266 passing yards on 34 pass attempts. Take the over here.
Najee Harris o18.5 rushing attempts (-102)
PrizePicks: N/A
Underdog: N/A
It is no secret that the Steelers have significant issues on the offensive line, especially when it comes to run-blocking. Still, this has not stopped Head Coach Mike Tomlin from entrusting Najee Harris with a heavy workload out of the backfield. Harris has eclipsed this number in eight of his last 11 games played, with the exceptions in that span being a shootout in Los Angeles, a blowout in Cincinnati, and a brutal matchup with Tennessee’s dominant run defense. When these two teams met earlier this year, Harris totaled 26 carries for 91 yards on the ground. Per EdgHouse, Cleveland has allowed an average of 20.0 rushing attempts per game to opposing teams. Opposing teams have run the ball 21 times or more in eight consecutive games against the Browns entering play. Despite Cleveland ranking 8th in the NFL in yards-per-carry allowed, this is a strong play.
Myles Garrett o3.5 tackles + assists (-114)
PrizePicks: N/A
Underdog: N/A
When the Browns and Steelers met in Week 8, Myles Garrett recorded four total tackles, including a sack of Ben Roethlisberger. In the rematch, Garrett has an even more favorable matchup with Dan Moore Jr., John Leglue, and Kendrick Green protecting the left side of Pittsburgh’s offensive line. If there is any risk here, it is a groin injury that Garrett suffered two weeks ago against the Las Vegas Raiders. Garrett recorded only one tackle against the Green Bay Packers last week, snapping a streak of four consecutive games in which he recorded at least three tackles. For what it is worth, Garrett did log a full practice on Saturday.
Chase Claypool o40.5 receiving yards (-110)
PrizePicks: O/U 37.5 Yards
Underdog: O/U 40.5 Yards
This is somewhat of a confusing line for Chase Claypool, considering that he has hit this number 10 times in 13 games played in 2021. In the first meeting between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Claypool hauled in four catches on five targets for 45 receiving yards. Only twice this year has Claypool received less than five targets from Ben Roethlisberger in this passing game. Factor in that Cleveland is missing both of their starting safeties in this game, and that Claypool is likely to draw a significant amount of coverage from the underwhelming Greedy Williams, and this becomes a line that bettors should strongly consider.
