On Saturday afternoon the Cincinnati Bengals will travel to Nissan Stadium to take on the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Last week, the Bengals defense stepped up on the goal line in the closing seconds to secure a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Titans are coming off of a bye week after securing the top seed in the AFC playoff picture. In this highly anticipated matchup, oddsmakers are expecting a Tennessee victory–pricing the Titans as 3.5-point home favorites on the spread.

As we approach kickoff, the value on the spread and the total has been reduced compared to its opening market price. Instead of forcing action on saturated markets, bettors may find more expected value on player props for this postseason affair.

Bengals vs. Titans Player Props

Joe Burrow – Most passing yards CIN/TEN (-200)

PrizePicks: N/A

This line is heavily weighted for a reason. Since Week 14, Joe Burrow has averaged 344.0 passing yards per game, posting a 13-to-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio in that span. Ryan Tannehill has only eclipsed 344 passing yards in a game once this season–in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. In his final six regular season games, Tannehill averaged only 17.5 passing yards per contest, and had less than 200 passing yards four times in those six games. The return of Derrick Henry to the field is only likely to lead to more emphasis on the running game. Burrow should win this head-to-head statistical duel with ease.

Ryan Tannehill u238.5 passing yards (-113)

PrizePicks: 220.5 Yards

We are doubling-down on a run-heavy approach from Tennessee in this matchup, also betting the under on Tannehill’s passing yards. Per EdgHouse, Tannehill has only eclipsed this number once in his last six games played, and in only 6-of-17 games played during the regular season. Since Week 9, the Bengals are allowing only 6.7 yards-per-attempt through the air–meaning that Tannehill would need to total 36 pass attempts to go over this number on Saturday. Since Week 4, Tannehill has only attempted more than 33 passes in one game–a 22-13 defeat to the Houston Texans in which Tannehill threw four interceptions. It is doubtful that the Titans’ coaching staff wants to replicate that disastrous performance. Expect a run-heavy approach in this one from Tennessee, and for Tannehill to go under this number.

Denico Autry to record a sack (+180)

PrizePicks: N/A

In the final five games of the regular season, Denico Autry recorded a sack in four contests. On Saturday, he gets to line up across from Trey Hopkins, Hakeem Adeniji, and Isaiah Prince—all of whom graded as far below league average in pass protection this season, per Pro Football Focus. Joe Burrow was sacked 51 times during the regular season, and did not even playing in the regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns. It is likely that Burrow will be sacked on Saturday, and betting on Autry to get into the backfield is worth the risk at the current line.

Tyler Boyd o45.5 receiving yards (-110)

PrizePicks: 42.5 Yards

Bettors have the opportunity to buy-low on Tyler Boyd in this contest, following back-to-back weeks in which he failed to reach 40 receiving yards. Yet, prior to Week 17, Boyd had totaled at least 55 receiving yards in four consecutive games–including three games of 85 receiving yards or more. On Saturday, Boyd is likely to see a considerable amount of coverage from Elijah Molden, who is Tennessee’s primary slot cornerback. Boyd should be able to win that matchup frequently, which should translate to the over hitting on this prop.
