Happy Tuesday! We finally fell off of the wagon yesterday, and we fell hard – going 0-3 with our recommendations. Today, the weather around Major League Baseball is hostile to hitter, so we are passing on our Dinger Tuesday suggestions, which are customary in this article each week. Instead, we have three looks for the rest of the slate.

Tuesday’s 15-game MLB slate begins with a matchup between the Colorado Rockies and Cleveland Guardians at 6:10 p.m. EST. Similar to yesterday, there are three games on the West Coast that have a scheduled first pitch of 9:38 p.m. EST or later today.

Below are three prop leans for April 25 as we look to stay hot!

MLB Player Props Today

Kris Bryant u0.5 total bases (+145), BetMGM

After leaving Saturday’s contest against the Philadelphia Phillies with a back injury, Kris Bryant had two base knocks on Monday in his return to the field against the Cleveland Guardians. Nevertheless, a repeat performance of yesterday appears unlikely for Bryant against Peyton Battenfield, who has been strong against right-handed batters to begin 2023. Battenfield enters play with a 2.76 FIP and a 25.0% strikeout rate against right-handed hitters this year. Also hurting Bryant’s total bases opportunity here is Battenfield’s high walk rate – walks, of course, do not count toward total bases. Thus, the under at significant plus money is a worthwhile stab in this scenario on Tuesday.

Jarred Kelenic u0.5 total bases (+105), BetMGM

After hitting only .141 with a 33.7% strikeout rate in 2022, Jarred Kelenic looks much improved at the dish to begin 2023 – posting a .319 batting average and a 26.0% strikeout rate through his first 20 games played. Still, it is hard to gloss over the fact that he had a .130 batting average and a 35.6% strikeout rate last year against southpaws. Tonight, he will have to contend with left-hander Bailey Falter, who throws his slider for nearly 50.0% of his offerings to left-handed batters. Kelenic is going to find it difficult to do damage with the bat on Tuesday. Take the under in this spot.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Peyton Battenfield + Ryan Feltner less than 0.5 1st inning runs allowed, PrizePicks

At first pitch tonight on the shores of Lake Erie, the temperature is forecasted to be below 50 degrees. Peyton Battenfield has been excellent in his first two turns through the rotation in 2023, allowing only two earned runs across 10.2 innings of work. This evening, he gets a favorable matchup against a Colorado Rockies lineup that struggles mightily against right-handed pitching on the road. Ryan Feltner has struggled out of the gate this year to a 6.16 ERA and a 4.69 FIP in four starts. However, he has allowed only two home runs in 19.0 innings this season. Making a start close to where he went to high school should have him extra focused this evening in the first inning. Combining the cold weather with the matchups here, there is a good chance that we do not see a run scored in the first inning of this affair.
