NBA Player Props – Cavaliers vs. Knicks, April 21, 2023

Jalen Brunson o23.5 points (-125), BetMGM

In the series opener, Jalen Brunson had 27 points on 24 field goal attempts. In Game 2, Brunson had 20 points, but was an inefficient 5-for-17 from the field and 1-for-8 from beyond the arc. Brunson was slightly better at home this year, averaging 24.5 points at Madison Square Garden compared to 23.5 points per game on the road. The discrepancy was largely due to his ability to get to the foul line more often at home. During the regular season, Cleveland ranked 13th in opponent free throw attempts allowed per game when playing on the road. Expect Brunson to be aggressive tonight and to have a good opportunity to get to the over.

Josh Hart o5.5 rebounds (-145), BetMGM

In two games to begin this series, Josh Hart is averaging 7.0 rebounds and 13.0 rebound chances. In Game 1, Hart had 10 rebounds on 17 rebound chances. In Game 2, he had four rebounds on nine rebound chances. According to props.cash, Hart has eclipsed this market number in 59 of 78 games this year, including the regular season. He has recorded at least seven rebounds in three of his five games against the Cavaliers. Trust him to get the job done in this spot.

Jarrett Allen more than 10.0 rebounds, PrizePicks

In four games against the New York Knicks this season, Jarrett Allen has never recorded fewer than 10 rebounds. On Friday night, Allen once again will be tasked with being the primary rebounder for a Cleveland Cavaliers team that has struggled mightily on the glass against New York in their first six meetings this year. Allen is one the game’s best rebounders. Expect him to perform well in this spot in a pivotal Game 3.
