On Saturday, the Western Conference NBA Playoffs will continue with Game 3 between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.

The Warriors responded from a Game 1 loss with a 27-point victory to even the series at one game apiece heading into a pivotal Game 3 this evening. Ahead of tip-off the market is anticipating a competitive game script between these two teams, pricing the Lakers as 3-point favorites on the spread. There are no notable injuries to report for either side ahead of tip-off.

We are 57-53-1 on player prop recommendations to begin the postseason. For those who would prefer to attack the player prop market rather than a side or total, we have three leans below for tonight’s action!

NBA Player Props – Lakers vs. Warriors, May 6, 2023

Stephen Curry u30.5 points (-105), FanDuel

Stephen Curry is a phenomenal talent, but the market continues to be inflated on his points prop following his 50-point performance against the Sacramento Kings last Sunday. We have played the under on Curry’s points prop in each of the first two games of this series, cashing both times. There is nothing we have seen so far to discourage us from running things back again for Game 3. From February 15 to the end of the regular season, the Lakers ranked fourth in opponent three-point percentage, compared to the Kings, which ranked 29th. Simply, Curry is playing a much tougher defense against the Lakers than he did in the first round of these playoffs. Take the under once again in this spot.

Klay Thompson o3.5 rebounds (-154), FanDuel

Klay Thompson has recorded only three rebounds in each of the first two games in this series, but there is reason to believe that he collects at least four boards tonight. In 37 road games this year, Thompson has eclipsed this market number 22 times, including 11 of his last 15 games played away from the Chase Center. As this series continues to progress, we are likely to see the defensive intensity continue to increase from both of these teams, which will lead to more opportunities on the glass. Take the over here.

LeBron James less than 22.5 field goal attempts, PrizePicks

We have played this same look in each of the first eight playoff games for the Los Angeles Lakers this spring – LeBron James has attempted fewer than 23 field goal attempts in six of those contests. James attempted 18 field goals or fewer in four of his six games played against the Memphis Grizzlies in the opening round of the postseason and has now attempted 20 field goals or fewer in 26 of his last 35 postseason games overall. This will continue to be a systems play until something happens that proves we need to alter our approach.
