NBA Player Props – Kings vs. Warriors, April 30, 2023

Klay Thompson o22.5 points (-120), BetMGM

In this series, Klay Thompson has scored at least 21 points five times, indicating that he has been extremely competitive at this market number nearly every time he has taken the floor. More important than Thompson’s point totals is the fact that he has also had consistently high volume – attempting at least nine three-pointers in each of the first six games while playing no fewer than 32 minutes. In Game 7, it is likely that Steve Kerr will push the workload limits of all of his best players as necessary, which could afford Thompson even more minutes and even more shot attempts in this spot. Bet on an efficient day from Thompson – take the over on his points prop.

Kevon Looney o12.5 rebounds (-115), FanDuel

Entering play on Sunday, Kevon Looney has eclipsed this market number in four consecutive contests, including two games of 20-plus rebounds. In Game 3, he had 30 rebound chances, followed by 19 rebound chances in Game 4, 30 rebound chances in Game 5, and 19 rebound chances in Game 6. The longer this series has gone on, the more it has become clear that the Sacramento Kings have no answer for him on the glass. If Looney can stay out of foul trouble today, he should be able to get to a baker’s dozen in the rebounding department once again.

Stephen Curry more than 30.5 points (more than 0.5 points – Discount Available), PrizePicks

If you have access and want to skip this analysis, go ahead – because there is an infinitesimal chance that Stephen Curry does not score in Game 7. If you only have access to his default number (without the PrizePicks discount), continue on.

According to StatMuse, Curry has played a Game 7 four times in his career and has played at least 39 minutes in each of those contests. In two of those games, he has played 44 minutes or more, indicating that head coach Steve Kerr is likely to give Curry as many minutes as he can handle in this spot with the season on the line. Curry is averaging 28.3 points per Game 7 in his career, but has only one game with fewer than 27 points. He is the clear alpha of this Golden State team – expect him to have a big game as he looks to propel his team to the second round of the postseason.
