What kind of performances can we expect on Tuesday from Kevin Durant, Deandre Ayton, and Russell Westbrook? Follow along as our NBA betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down three of his favorite NBA prop bets for April 18 on the hardwood.

This past Sunday, the Los Angeles Clippers emerged victorious 115-110 over the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of the first round. Heading into Game 2, Los Angeles will once again be without Paul George, who is dealing with a right knee sprain. However, the rest of the team is healthy and ready to go.

On Tuesday evening, oddsmakers are expecting a bounce back performance from Phoenix, pricing the Suns as 7.5-point favorites on the spread. The total is set at over/under 227 points.

For those who would prefer to attack the player prop market rather than a side or total, we have three leans below for tonight’s action!

NBA Player Props – Clippers vs. Suns, April 18, 2023

Kevin Durant o27.5 points (-120), BetMGM

In the series opener, Kevin Durant scored 27 points on only 15 field goal attempts for the Phoenix Suns. Durant’s low volume from the field was particularly surprising considering the fact that he played 45 minutes. Durant has now played at least 35 minutes four times since joining the Suns – scoring 27 points or more in each contest, including two games of at least 35 points. In a must-win game for Phoenix on Tuesday, expect Durant to be more aggressive from the field, and for him to have a great opportunity to hit the over here.

Deandre Ayton u10.5 rebounds (-130), Caesars

In Game 1, Deandre Ayton led the Phoenix Suns with 18 rebound chances, but he still only managed to collect eight actual rebounds due to a low contested rebound percentage. In last year’s playoffs, Ayton averaged only 8.9 rebounds per game. According to props.cash, Ayton has eclipsed this market number only 32 times in 68 games played this season and only five of 11 games with Durant in uniform. The under appears to hold considerable value in this spot.

Russell Westbrook less than 31.5 points + rebounds + assists, PrizePicks

This past Sunday, we cashed easily on the under on this exact same play, so we are running it back again for Game 2. Russell Westbrook played 36 minutes and attempted 19 shots in Game 1, but still failed to hit the over here. He secured 11 rebounds and eight assists, but still came up far shy of the market number available pre-game. Westbrook, due to his inconsistent defense and poor shooting ability, is always a risk to get benched late in games in favor of other players. As long as we keep getting this line, we are going to keep expecting a statistical output that is far less that what the market is expecting.
