NBA Player Props – Lakers vs. Warriors, May 2, 2023
- Stephen Curry u32.5 points
- Kevon Looney u12.5 rebounds
- LeBron James less than 20.5 field goal attempts
Stephen Curry u32.5 points (-115), PointsBet
On Sunday, the nation watched Stephen Curry drop a 50-piece in a dominating Game 7 performance against the Sacramento Kings. Thus, it’s safe to say that not many people will be rushing to bet his under in this spot. Curry had 28 points or more in each of the seven games he played against Sacramento in the opening round, but he will have a much tougher matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers in round two. From February 15 to the end of the regular season, the Lakers ranked fourth in opponent three-point percentage, compared to the Kings, which ranked 29th. Curry is going to have far more difficulty finding the bottom of the net in this series than he did against Sacramento. Take the under.
Kevon Looney u12.5 rebounds (-115), BetMGM
Entering play on Tuesday, Kevon Looney has eclipsed this market number in five consecutive trips to the hardwood. However, his prodigious rebounding numbers from the opening round of the postseason had more to do with his opponent than anything else. As that series went on, it became increasingly clear that nobody on the Sacramento Kings was going to stop Looney from getting rebounds. Life will not be that easy in round two against a Los Angeles Lakers team that ranked fourth in rebound percentage from February 15 to the end of the regular season. This could be an extremely easy under this evening.
NBA DFS Pick’em
LeBron James less than 20.5 field goal attempts, PrizePicks
PrizePicks continues to release this market number too high every single time the Los Angeles Lakers have a game. We played the under on Lebron James field goal attempts in each of his six games against the Memphis Grizzlies, and we ended up on the winning end five times. Ahead of tip-off in Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors, PrizePicks once again has this market number inexplicably north of 20. James has attempted 20 field goals or less in five of six games during this postseason and 25 of his last 33 playoff games overall. You all know what to do at this point.
