The Warriors came up empty in two games on the road, leaving them on the brink of elimination heading into this evening’s action. There are no notable injuries to report for either side ahead of tip-off.

We are 65-60-1 on player prop recommendations to begin the postseason, including 7-2 in this series between the Warriors and Lakers. For those who would prefer to attack the player prop market rather than a side or total, we have three leans below for tonight’s action!

NBA Player Props – Lakers vs. Warriors, May 10, 2023

Stephen Curry u31.5 points (-110), PointsBet

We are taking another stab at the under on Stephen Curry in this spot as the market continues to price his points prop as though he is on the verge of exploding any night. The consequence of this is that the under has hit here three times in four games to begin this series, with the lone over being by a half-point. We have played the under on Curry’s points prop in each of the first three games of this series, cashing each time. We will happily run things back again in Game 5, especially with how strong the Los Angeles defense has been since the trade deadline. From February 15 to the end of the regular season, the Lakers ranked fourth in opponent three-point percentage, compared to the Kings, which ranked 29th. The market continues to price Curry’s points as if he is playing Sacramento – keep taking the under as long as the line remains inflated. The potential for a blowout game script creates an additional path to an under here as well.

Klay Thompson o22.5 points (-115), FanDuel

Klay Thompson is a shooter…and a shooter shoots the basketball. Thompson has been widely criticized by the media and Twitter mob for his poor shot selection in Game 3 and Game 4 in Hollywood, but the one person who had no issues with Thompson was his coach – Steve Kerr. Thompson had 25 points in the series opener and 30 points in Game 2. He is comfortable in his home gym, where he averaged 24.4 points per game during the regular season. Take the over here.

LeBron James less than 22.5 field goal attempts, PrizePicks

We are doing it again. We have played this same look in each of the first ten playoff games for the Los Angeles Lakers during this postseason – LeBron James has attempted less than 23 field goal attempts in seven of those contests. Last Saturday night in Game 3, James had only 11 field goal attempts against the Golden State Warriors. James shot the ball 18 times or less in four of his six games played against the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the postseason and has now attempted 20 field goals or less in 27 of his last 37 postseason games overall. As long as PrizePicks refuses to adjust this line, keep hammering away.
