NBA Player Props – Lakers vs. Grizzlies, April 19, 2023
- Rui Hachimura o4.5 rebounds
- D’Angelo Russell o5.5 assists
- LeBron James less than 21.5 field goal attempts
Rui Hachimura o4.5 rebounds (-118), FanDuel
Entering play on Wednesday, Rui Hachimura has eclipsed this market number in six of his last eight games played. In Game 1, he had six boards on 10 rebound chances in 30 minutes of action. When Hachimura has played at least 30 minutes this season, he is 5-for-6 to the over at this number, according to props.cash. Since April 4, 12 of 17 forwards to have a rebound prop released against the Memphis Grizzlies have hit the over. Expect that trend to continue on Wednesday in this spot.
D’Angelo Russell o5.5 assists (-144), FanDuel
According to props.cash, D’Angelo Russell has eclipsed this market number in 46 of 73 games played so far this year, including six of 11 games with LeBron James in uniform. In Game 1, Russell led the Los Angeles Lakers with 13 potential assists. No other member of the team had more than nine potential assists, meaning that Russell was the clear top-facilitator in this offense. Across their last 12 regular season contests, the Memphis Grizzlies ranked 20th in opponent assists per game. Trust Russell to get the job done once again as the Lakers go for a commanding 2-0 lead in this series.
NBA DFS Pick’em
LeBron James less than 21.5 field goal attempts, PrizePicks
We cashed this look in Game 1 with the market number at 23.5 field goal attempts. Even with a slight market adjustment ahead of Game 2, we are going back to the well. Last time we saw LeBron James in the postseason, he attempted fewer than 22 field goal attempts in five of the six games that he played against the Phoenix Suns. In 21 playoff games the year before, James attempted fewer than 22 field goal attempts in 17 games. Following a month-long absence due to injury, James returned to the court near the end of March, and then attempted 21 or fewer shots in six of his final eight regular season contests. In the opening game of this series, James had only 16 field goal attempts. Simply, there is no justification for this market number being so high (again).
