NBA Player Props – Playoffs, April 25, 2023

Russell Westbrook u25.5 points (-115), BetMGM

Russell Westbrook has eclipsed this market number in three consecutive games, but it is difficult to see him sustaining that level of production indefinitely. Westbrook, a career 30.5% shooter from beyond the arc, is 8-for-16 from deep across his last three contests. In that span, he has been incredibly efficient from the floor as well, shooting over 50 percent. In Game 5, we likely see that efficiency regress closer to his mean. During the regular season, Westbrook’s field goal percentage and three-point percentage was significantly worse on the road than it was at home. Expect him to struggle with his efficiency on Tuesday as Phoenix begins to finally make adjustments against him. Take the under in this spot.

Anthony Edwards u28.5 points (-115), FanDuel

Anthony Edwards is an incredible talent, but it is doubtful that the Denver Nuggets allow him to continue carrying the load for this Minnesota Timberwolves team. In each of his last three contests, Edwards has scored 34 points or more as he has done everything he can to help the Timberwolves be competitive in this series. Returning to Denver for Game 5, it is likely that the Nuggets do everything they can to force someone else to beat them. As good as Edwards’ was this regular season, he averaged 2.5 points per game less on the road than he did at home. He will not have the benefit of the home whistle in this matchup either, which helped him accrue 21 free throw attempts combined in Game 3 and Game 4. It is not comfortable betting the under on elite talent, but Edwards is going to have a tough time scoring 30 this evening.

NBA DFS Pick’em

Karl-Anthony Towns more than 9.0 rebounds, PrizePicks

In Game 1, Karl-Anthony Towns collected 10 rebounds in only 30 minutes of playing time. In Game 2, Towns had 12 rebounds in 34 minutes. Towns’ minutes spiked evern higher in Game 3, proving that he is not at risk of having his leash cut short in this series. In Game 4, Towns once again had 11 rebounds, playing 36 minutes in an overtime win to keep Minnesota’s season alive. Towns is a good bet for 40 minutes on Tuesday night in a competitive game script as the Timberwolves look to fight off elimination for one more day. We are running this play back once again this evening. If you have access to a sportsbook, a double-double is not a bad bet here either.
