Big Events Breakdown: NFL Week 6
Another awesome week of action across daily fantasy sports. The King’s Crown at DailyJoust had 3 more qualifiers this weekend between college football and NFL, DraftStreet’s DSFC pushed forward with 2 more qualifiers, the FFFC did the same and the Chase for the Crown on DraftKings heats up. There’s also plenty of exciting activity in FantasyFeud’s Field of Dreams Season Long Event! All of that and more inside this week’s edition of the Big Events Breakdown.

The DSFC $22 Challenge went to risingstars this week. Risingstars used the potent combo of Peyton Manning and Aaron Discount Double Check Rodgers to boost his standing while relying on 34 points from Shonn Greene and Jordy Nelson each to push him over the top. This also proves that you don’t need the perfect lineup to win these 1000 man qualifiers, as he won with 1.1 point performances from Dustin Keller and a 6.4 point performance from Trent Richardson.

Grinder Hixvillehunk took down the $109 DSFC Qualifier and earned 3 of the top 10 spots overall. The Top-10 was riddled with Grinders but Hixvillehunk pulled it out behind the monster game from Antonio Gates, as well as the impressive play of a concussed RG3. The late Jeremy Maclin bomb certainly helped as well! Congrats to hix and all the top-10 here!

The FFFC $10 was taken down by yet another Grinder and once again it came down to the 4th quarter of Monday Night Football. Mal_Nip wins the FFFC Seat by 4 points as Peyton Manning and Ryan Matthews did just enough to edge out linker123 and the man behind the RG podcast, Dan Back(DB730). Dan was pulling hard for Antonio Gates in the last few possessions after the Manning to Decker TD pass allowed Mal_Nip to make the pass into first. Linker123 was idle on Monday Night and it was down to Dan and Mal_Nip. Gates gets shutdown to end the night and Mal_nip is going to Vegas. Congrats!

Our very own Cal Spears displaces daily fantasy football monster Headchopper as the battle for the Super Bowl tickets continues. It’s air tight right now, but another big week from Cal was able to give him an edge for now. This week was taken down by Kate and Ally’s Dad also known as Hester8157. This is his second weekly win thus far and he tightens the distance between himself and first place in Beermakersfan. Another solid week from beermakersfan allows him to top the leaderboard. It was an interesting week where 3 players forgot to submit lineups and sunk themselves in a hole, including Notorious and BrettFavre44 who have now missed twice. We’ll see if they can climb back into the chase and earn a playoff spot, as well as who will cement themselves as the top daily fantasy football player in the land!
