Saturday Night Football brings an AFC matchup between the Chargers and the Bills. For this holiday weekend matchup, we can build a same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Saturday night potentially brings a tale as old as time. The storied history of the hammer versus the nail opens a new chapter, as the Los Angeles Chargers welcome the Buffalo Bills. Sports betting sites project a beatdown by the Bills as they continue their quest to reclaim a playoff spot. Without Justin Herbert, the Chargers begin the post-Brandon Staley era and take a long look at their roster. Let’s cook up (yes, that is intended) a same-game parlay for tonight’s matchup.

Bills vs. Chargers Same Game Parlay Preview

At this writing, the Bills are 12.5-point favorites on the road against the Chargers. Per ScoresAndOdds, 54% of betting tickets were printed for Buffalo throughout the week. On the contrary, a whopping 71% of the betting handle lies on the Los Angeles side. The public differs from the bigger bettors. Eyebrows are raised.

The number has moved from 41.5 to 44.5 as more than 60% of tickets and money have found the over. Perhaps betting sites think the Bills will pull a Las Vegas Raiders and hit the over on their own? After a rough week and an organizational overhaul, the Chargers might be very motivated to put up a fight tonight.

Here are the offensive numbers for both teams:

Los Angeles Offense
17th — 21.6 PPG (11.3 last 3 weeks)
16th — 5.2 YPP (4.5 last 3 weeks)
16th — 7.0 Passing YPA
27th — 3.8 Rushing YPA

Buffalo Offense
6th — 27.1 PPG
5th — 5.7 YPP
11th — 7.2 Passing YPA
6th — 4.5 Rushing YPA

As we see, the Chargers without Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen are significantly less effective on offense. The offensive numbers were trending down prior to the Herbert injury though, as the team was having a difficult time finding the end zone. With Easton Stick, that is likely to continue even though the young quarterback threw for three touchdowns last game. With a bit of rushing ability, the Chargers will need Easton Stick to make plays to keep pace with the Bills.

Did the Bills change their identity last week? With Josh Allen only attempting 15 passes, the Bills beat the Cowboys down at home. James Cook was the workhorse on the rushing and receiving side and looked like a budding superstar. Was this game-plan specific or potentially or a change in philosophy as the Bills hope to make a playoff run? With failed playoff runs in their history, the Bills might need to rely on an effective running game to win close playoff games.

Will James Cook have another big game? Can the Chargers make plays? Let’s use ParlayIQ to build an SGP ticket.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Bills at Chargers

James Cook Over 26.5 Receiving Yards

ParlayIQ is not in love with the rushing prop for James Cook. While I think he is going to have a huge game rushing and receiving, I am more intrigued by this receiving total. Cook has been a focal point of the offense over the last few weeks.

The Chargers have allowed the second-most receptions to running backs this season and the second-most receiving yards. With the Bills making James Cook a priority, 26.5 receiving yards feels like a slam dunk.

Easton Stick Over 15.5 Rushing Yards

Easton Stick flashed rushing ability during the preseason. He might be running for his life tonight.

Against the Raiders last week, Stick rushed twice for 10 yards. Not far off tonight’s target, Stick could be the entire offense if the Bills run out to a big lead. With another week of preparation as the starter, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Chargers make use of Stick’s athleticism.

We include him for our second prop. This is one of the high-percentage props of the night according to ParlayIQ.

Alex Erickson Over 9.5 Receiving Yards

Speaking of high percentage, ParlayIQ feels very strongly about Alex Erickson catching a pass or two this week. The over on Erickson’s receiving yardage is found in more than 60% of simulations including the other two legs of our parlay.

Erickson saw 7 targets two weeks ago but only two last week. Without Keenan Allen, plenty of targets in this offense are up for grabs. We would assume that Erickson will see a few if the Chargers are forced to throw all game. In a game that is very wacky with so many key injuries, I don’t mind adding some variance with my third leg.
