Our Sunday Night game for Week 4 is an AFC showdown between the Bills and Ravens in Baltimore. The undefeated Bills come in after a dominating victory against the Jaguars on Monday night that was over by halftime, while the Ravens picked up their first win of the season last week against the Cowboys. The Ravens are favored by 2.5 points at home with the game carrying a 46.0 point total. The Baltimore passing defense has been a particular disappointment this year, giving up the most passing yards per game in the NFL this season, while the team has allowed at least 25 points in each game. However, the rushing defense has been a statistical positive, giving up the fewest rushing yards per game. The Bills have been excellent on both sides of the ball in going 3-0, scoring 37.3 points per game (most in the NFL), while giving up the 7th-fewest points per game. There is no major injury news for this game, but be sure to follow the RotoGrinders’ NFL starting lineups page as inactives hit for the latest details in case there are any surprises. Bills vs. Ravens Showdown NFL DFS Lineup Advice
Primetime Game History
Both of these teams have played primetime games already this season. The Bills won on Monday Night in a 47-10 romp over the Jaguars. Buffalo came in as 4.5-point favorite playing at home, so it was no surprise that the two most popular CPT choices for the game were Josh Allen (28.4%) and James Cook (15.7%). The winning lineup for that game did feature Josh Allen in the CPT spot, along with Cook, Khalil Shakir, and Ty Johnson in FLEX spots.
The Ravens played their last primetime game on the NFL’s opening night in Kansas City. Coming into the game as 3-point underdogs, Lamar Jackson (14.1%) and Derrick Henry (10.6%) had the second-highest and third-highest CPT ownership in the DraftKings large-field contest. That night became the Isaiah Likely show, as the Ravens TE was the CPT in the winning lineup at 1.1% ownership, with Lamar Jackson the only other Raven in the lineup in a FLEX spot.
This Sunday night contest should be an interesting one, with a matchup between two teams that have QBs who can dominate pOWN% in primetime contests. Looking at the Ravens’ last single-game contest, we once again see a contest where a lower-priced, lower-owned CPT pass catcher landed on the winning roster with a big game that allowed multiple high-priced players into FLEX spots. The Bills’ last game shows that the popular QB-CPT choice can land in the winning lineup, but it helps to have a very low-owned player (in this case Ty Johnson) in the FLEX. Often, we don’t want to avoid chalk entirely, but it can be critical to find at least one lower-owned but still viable option, even if it is at the CPT spot.
