Primetime Parlay: Broncos vs. Seahawks Same Game Parlay Picks and Props

Throughout the NFL season, this article will examine building same game parlays across various sports betting sites for primetime NFL matchups. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props and betting odds across sportsbooks to pick the most profitable combination of outcomes for primetime games. Now let’s build our Broncos vs. Seahawks same game parlay for Monday Night Football.

Monday is upon us. You are likely done sifting through bet receipts, DFS lineups, survivor pool reports, and all of your other NFL-related activities. Not so fast! Football remains… sort of.

Russell Wilson returns to Seattle immediately after leaving for the Denver Broncos. Wilson now leads a young cast of talented playmakers in a division that is rife with talented quarterbacks and capable offenses. He leaves behind the Seattle Seahawks — a team that could potentially vie for the worst record in the NFL (especially after that Bears victory).

That said, we can make this work. When the NFL schedule lets us down, sports betting picks us right back up. Let’s build a primetime parlay!

Broncos vs. Seahawks Same Game Parlay Preview

Monday Night Football Odds & Storylines

Russell Wilson is the story, tonight. ESPN will beat us over the head with interviews and talking heads discussing Wilson’s career, his impact, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah… While I am hitting you over the head with sarcasm now, even I can’t deny that Wilson is the big story. The Broncos were capable last year. The offense has plenty of talent at wide receiver and in the backfield. Wilson is here to shepherd all of this talent to the playoffs in a very difficult decision.

The Broncos seem to come into Week 1 in full health with KJ Hamler the only status worth monitoring for kickoff. The Seahawks, however, look more like the Broncos of last season with a significantly less capable quarterback room. Geno Smith and Drew Lock take over the reins for Wilson with Smith getting the starting nod. D.K. Metcalf went from the most bandied about fantasy asset a few years ago to a wide receiver without a quarterback. The same can be said of Tyler Lockett.

Will the duo be able to make hay without Russ? Oh, I forgot to mention, Pete Carroll is still the coach of the Seahawks. Will they even be targeted?

This game looks very, very, very much like a middle-of-the-season unimportant ESPN Monday Night Football affair. We need to jazz this up with a four-let same game parlay. This one will require some mining to keep use awake.

Broncos-Seahawks Parlay Picks & Props

Courtland Sutton Receiving Yards

Per ScoresandOdds.com most of the betting action is on the Broncos on the road. The line moved from -4.5 to -6.5 and that hasn’t stoped the tickets from printing. The public seems to be all over the Broncos — with good reason.

Myself, I have a very, very, very bad feeling about this game with regard to the spread. The Broncos will be on the road and Wilson faces a team that knows everything about him. The Seahawks are going to be very, very, very bad but that does not always mean a blowout. We watched the Bears, Texans, and Steelers lay waste to many survivor entries yesterday. So, instead, I am going to focus on player props exclusively for this parlay.

My first prop will be Courtland Sutton and his yardage total. The number seems to be right around 59.5 yards across betting sites. As we did with our last parlay (cha-ching!), we can tease these totals down on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel.

Sutton is healthy and Russ is an upgrade. We will go over, we just need to pick the best number when we decide on our site later.

Javonte Williams Rushing Yards

The Seahawks were the second-worst defense in the NFL in 2021 with respect to opposing passing yards per game. Seattle has not made much in the way of big improvements for me to assume things will change drastically this season. Instead, I want to attack Seattle through the air with Courtland Sutton and I am less excited about the prospects of Javonte Williams and the running game.

Williams flashed superstar ability last season. Against Kansas City on December 5th, Williams amassed more than 100 rushing yards and more than 70 receiving yards. Melvin Gordon did not play that game. Yet, Melvin Gordon did play in the last two games of the season in a near 50/50 share with his young stablemate, outrushing Williams in Week 18 by leaps.

Will Javonte Williams eventually take over this backfield? Maybe. Do I have any reason to believe that he will take the backfield over tonight? No. The Broncos haven’t done anything to lead us to believe Williams is the guy. Until they do, I am looking for unders.

Tyler Lockett Receiving Yards

Determining who will be the alpha-receiver in Seattle (if there will be one) is extremely difficult. With Geno Smith as the quarterback, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf present very different skill sets. In a limited sample, Lockett seemed to be the most targeted while Metcalf scored the most. For yardage purposes, I am going to lean every so slightly towards Tyler Lockett in Week 1 especially since his prop number seems more palatable.

Lockett saw two double-digit target games when Smith started in Wilson’s absence last season. Most notably, in Smith’s final start, Lockett caught 12 passes on 13 targets for 142 yards against the Jaguars. The opportunity could be there and we should see a better than six or seven-yard discount on Lockett’s prop. I am going to include him somehow, whether it be with a teased line or the offered number and I will be going over.

Broncos Win

And just like that, he changes his mind. By the end of this article, I have sifted through stats, projections, etc… I understand why the line moved. The Seahawks present themselves as a very bad football team with an old coach. If the Broncos take the lead, do I trust Pete Carroll to throw the football to catch up? No way. Instead, I would guess we see Rashaad Penny run and run because that is the way Pete Carroll has always felt football should be played. I mean, we are watching Russell Wilson play for a different team in part because he was unable to cook.

I just don’t see a way the Broncos lose this game. I will include the moneyline as part of my parlay.

MNF Single Game Parlay Review

I priced these options out. FanDuel posts the best line for Tyler Lockett and his receiving prop. I also see a better moneyline number for the Broncos on FanDuel. DraftKings does give me more options with regard to teased prop lines because I can go over or under but I think I will stick with FanDuel tonight and use my boosts and a few goofy touchdown parlays. So, on FanDuel we are going to go with this parlay.

Broncos ML
Courtland Sutton Over 50+ Receiving Yards
Tyler Lockett Over 49.5 Receiving Yards
Javonte Williams Under 58.5 Rushing Yards

Parlay Price: +781

Risk: 1/2 unit to win 3.9 units

Good luck on the first Monday Night Football game of the season. Share your parlays with me on Twitter and any other plays you are making for the game. First touchdown scorers? Touchdowns? DFS lineups? I want to hear it all. Thanks for reading.
