Primetime Parlay: Cowboys vs. 49ers Same Game Parlay Picks

Cowboy vs. 49ers Same Game Parlay

ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool simulates NFL contests thousands of times using RotoGrinders’ NFL Statistical Projections. Along with the simulations, we will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same-game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a Divisional Weekend same-game parlay for the Cowboys vs. 49ers .

The San Francisco 49ers looked like the most complete team in the Wild Card Round after romping the Seahawks with a balanced attack across the board. Rookie Brock Purdy continued to manage the offense with a big game as Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel shined. The 49ers’ defense remains tough on opponents. The Cowboys impressed against a weak-looking Tampa Bay Buccaneers team but will surely be taking a step up in class. A short road-underdog, will the Cowboys make it back-to-back road wins? Will Brock Purdy continue his run? Let’s make a same-game parlay ticket to go with what will undeniably be a great close to the Divisional Round.

Same Game Parlay for Cowboys vs. 49ers

FanDuel Sportsbook lists the 49ers at -3.5 favorites at the time of this writing. Per SAO, betting tickets are basically split 50/50 but 73% of the betting handle sits on the Cowboys’ side of the spread. The Cowboys with more than a field goal is an interesting play if the game stays close and both defenses assert themselves.

As for the implied game total, we see 46.5 points with a great discrepancy in betting. 84% of betting tickets are on the over while 86% of the betting handle sides with the under. Does the public like points? Do the big bettors like the under? Interesting.

For injuries, we are looking at a very clean report. Jayron Kearse is questionable at SS for the Cowboys with his lingering knee issue but should be good to go. Jason Peters will not play at tackle, but the Cowboys’ replacements with Tyler Smith and Connor McGovern shifting over are not much of a downgrade. For the 49ers, Jauan Jennings was removed from the injury report with his ankle injury and will suit up. Not related to this contest, Jimmy Garoppolo might be available next week for the NFC Championship but very likely for the Super Bowl if the Niners can get there. Jimmy G would serve as a backup to Brock Purdy.

The table is set. This game will command plenty of attention. Let’s put together a fun ticket with player props and betting picks.

Same Game Parlay Picks – Cowboys & 49ers Props

CeeDee Lamb Under 78.5 Receiving Yards

CeeDee Lamb continues to be a target monster for the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the high volume of targets, Lamb has stayed under this threshold for two weeks and now faces a far tougher defense.

ParlayIQ features 57% of simulations of this game where Lamb stays below this threshold. Undoubtedly, the Cowboys will get the ball to Lamb as often as possible. I tend to agree with our simulations, though and feel the Cowboys’ offense will likely struggle against the stalwart 49ers’ front.

We will open our ticket with this under and see how we can correlate other picks.

Elijah Mitchell Over 28.5 Rushing Yards

The path to success for the 49ers against the Dallas defense is certainly to run the football. With the Cowboys’ ability to put an immense amount of pressure on the passer, running the football will take some pressure off of Brock Purdy.

Now, why wouldn’t we focus on Christian McCaffrey? McCaffrey is certainly going to get a full workload. That said, Mitchell saw 9 carries last week. Despite the inefficiency, the 49ers will continue to feed Mitchell to spell CMC. If the 49ers were to ever gain a nice lead, Mitchell will be used even more. This is a very low number. I agree with ParlayIQ on this one and will add the over to our ticket.

Brock Purdy Under 6.5 Rushing Yards

This feels like a coin flip but makes sense to me. Against a really strong Dallas front, I am not sure Purdy will find much rushing room.

Further, Purdy has shown a penchant for getting the ball out quickly to playmakers. We don’t expect him to hold the football and try to make plays with his legs. Instead, we expect him to work off of play-action and release the ball quickly.

If the 49ers are winning we get the added chance of some Purdy kneel-downs to backdoor this prop. ParlayIQ likes this to hit over 60% of the time combined with our other legs. I am in.

Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown

ParlayIQ likes CMC to find the endzone in over 60% of simulations. I tend to agree, again.

McCaffrey has found the endzone in 7 straight games either rushing or receiving. He is the focal point of an offense run by one of the most creative running game minds in the NFL. When the 49ers get in class, McCaffrey has to be a favorite to touch the football.

We close with this and hope we can find the endzone early. Good luck!
