If looking to wager on the player prop market for Cowboys vs. Giants, we have 3 prop leans to consider for Thursday evening!
Cowboys vs. Giants – NFL Player Props
- Daniel Jones Over/Under 236.5 Passing + Rushing Yards
- Daniel Jones Over/Under 0.5 Touchdowns
- Devin Singletary Over/Under 0.5 Touchdowns
Daniel Jones OVER 236.5 Passing + Rushing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
Across the last 2 weeks, Jones ranks 5th in EPA/play and 10th in success rate among qualified quarterbacks. Against Washington, he had 210 passing + rushing yards. He followed that up with 256 passing + rushing yards against Cleveland in Week 3.
Simply, this is the best we have seen Jones look since 2022, when he averaged 244.6 passing + rushing yards per game. Dallas has been gutted by mobile quarterbacks early in 2024, allowing 39 rushing yards to Deshaun Watson and 87 rushing yards to Lamar Jackson. They will be without a pair of starting cornerbacks as well, leaving their secondary unit thin on available talent.
Jones is well-positioned for another strong performance. A few explosive plays, either through the air or on the ground, should be enough to get the job done here.
Daniel Jones OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+300, FanDuel)
Jones hasn’t found the end zone with his legs yet in 2024, but that is likely to change sooner rather than later. He is one of only 23 players in the entire NFL to have 3 goal-line rush attempts so far this season – 19 of those players scored a touchdown, and Josh Jacobs had a touchdown called back on a penalty.
Simply, Jones is getting more than enough chances at the end zone for this to be a playable price. Derek Carr and Lamar Jackson are quarterbacks who have found the end zone against Dallas in the last 2 weeks – don’t be surprised if Danny Dimes turns into Danny Dash this evening.
Devin Singletary OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+110, FanDuel)
Entering tonight’s game, the Cowboys’ run defense ranks 32nd in EPA/play, 31st in success rate, and 31st in adjusted line yards. They allowed 115 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns to Alvin Kamara in Week 2, then allowed another 151 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns to Derrick Henry in Week 3. Simply, this is a bad run defense, with little hope of immediate relief.
Singletary is far from an elite running back, but he’s found pay dirt in consecutive weeks and is clearly their top option out of the backfield around the goal line. Singletary has earned 7 of the team’s 9 red-zone non-QB rush attempts and both of their goal-line non-QB rushing attempts. This is a good price for a running back who has minimal competition for touches near the end zone.
