This weekend’s Sunday NFL slate will conclude with a marquee matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. Entering play, these two teams are widely regarded as the two most talented teams in the NFC, with one of them likely to represent the conference in this year’s Super Bowl.

Ahead of kickoff, the 49ers are favored by 3.5 points on the spread. The game total is set at over/under 45 points. If choosing to wager instead on the player prop market, we have three prop leans for tonight’s matchup!

Cowboys vs. 49ers Player Props for SNF

Brock Purdy u1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-105), PointsBet

Brock Purdy is off to a great start to the new campaign, leading the NFL in QBR through four weeks of action. Even still, Purdy has only thrown multiple touchdown passes twice this year. On Sunday Night Football, Purdy could have his worst game of the year to date, facing a Dallas defense that has generated greater than a 40.0% pressure rate in three of their four games so far in 2023. Purdy struggled mightily under duress in 2022 and is completing only 48.6% of his pass attempts for 5.6 yards per attempt to begin 2023. The under is a strong look here.

Dak Prescott o1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+125), PointsBet

No matter how the data is cut, Dak Prescott has been underwhelming this season. His 4-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio looks good on the surface, but he is on pace for only 17 total touchdowns for the season and has yet to eclipse 261 passing yards in a single game. Nevertheless, this offense, including Prescott, is due for positive regression sooner rather than later. Entering play in Week 5, the Cowboys have run an NFL-best 85 plays in the red zone, but only two of them have been Prescott rush attempts. Even in a tough matchup, Dallas should find themselves with plenty of opportunities near the end zone – at plus money, this is a worthwhile stab.

NFL DFS Pick’em

George Kittle Less Than 40.5 Receiving Yards, PrizePicks

In four games this fall, George Kittle has only eclipsed this market number once, and it came against the lowly New York Giants. Tonight, Kittle has a difficult matchup against a strong Dallas defense. Perhaps most notable, Dallas has generated pressure on at least 40 percent of their opponents’ dropbacks in three of four games so far in 2023. Kittle could be used more as an extra blocker than as a receiver this evening, making it unlikely that we see him tally many receiving yards.
