Daily Fantasy NFL: H2H vs. GPP - Week 10
When playing 50-50’s/Double-ups or head-to-head, you want guaranteed points. This is not where you roll the dice on all-or-nothing players. The idea is to simply produce a solid, well balanced team. It may not be explosive, but it doesn’t matter whether you finish in first place or not, you just need to cash.
Head to Head and 50/50 Plays – Week 10
Quarterbacks
- Matthew Stafford – He has consistently produced this year and he has a great matchup against a Chicago defense that is a shell of its former self. If he’s priced outside of the top 3 or a significant percentage less than Peyton or Brees on a site he’s a great option.
- Andrew Luck – Other than one bad game, he has put up solid numbers week in and week out. The Rams usually give up a lot of production on the ground, but the Colts run game has been abysmal, so Luck will likely still need to throw a lot. He has 183 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs, so he can contribute with his legs as well.
Running Backs
- Eddie Lacy – His price remains relatively low despite being one of the top RB’s over the last three weeks. He has 5 weeks in a row with 22+ carries and has a TD in 3 straight games. He should be in your lineup this week.
- Knowshon Moreno – RB’s have had success against the Chargers this year and Moreno is a stud RB at an affordable price. He is always being put into a good situation by a Manning audible and if Darrel Young can score 3 TD’s on San Diego, Moreno should be able to find pay dirt at least once.
Wide Receivers
- Antonio Brown – He is a target monster and that translates to consistent fantasy production. He has scored double digits every week this year on DK despite only hauling in 3 TD’s. He faces a Bill’s team that has been burned badly by WR’s this year.
- Keenan Allen – Keenan has quickly become the #1 option for the Chargers in their passing game and in a game that is expected to be high scoring, he should continue to produce at a high level. 4 out of the last 5 weeks he has scored in double figures, including three weeks of 20+ points.
- Wes Welker – There hasn’t been a more consistent WR this year than Wes. He has scored a TD every week this year except one and he has scored double digit fantasy points every week. You should expect another performance of at least 5-7 reception for 75 yards and a TD from the man with lizards that are eating his legs.
Tight Ends
- Antonio Gates – Gates has shown that he can still get it done at 33 years old this year. There are only a few teams that are more susceptible to TE’s than Denver and the Charges will need to pass to try to keep pace with Peyton and crew. For not much more than the minimum price on FD, Gates is almost a must start.
- Jimmy Graham – You will need to pay top dollar to get him in your lineup, but I think this is a week it makes sense to have him on your 50/50 teams. There aren’t many good options at TE this week and you will be at a big advantage over teams that don’t have his production in their lineups. The Cowboys have made most TE’s they have faced look like Jimmy Graham, so what is the real Jimmy Graham going to look like verse them this week?
Defenses
- Titans – The Titans have been one of the best D’s this year and they get the Jags at home. No need to over think this one. Get them in your lineup.
- Seahawks – They are on the road so you can temper your expectations some, but they are facing a depleted Falcons team that may have already packed it in for the year. Another double digit week of fantasy points from this unit can be expected.
GPP and Large Field Tournament Plays – Week 10
Quarterbacks
- Seneca Wallace – This a play based on his good matchup, great offensive weapons around him and bottom of the barrel pricing. He has a career 31/19 TD to Interception ratio on CLE and SEA teams that didn’t have nearly the same offensive weapons that Packers do. Coach McCarthy expects him to perform better after a week of practice with the first unit and so do I.
- Jake Locker – The Jaguars have struggled to stop anyone this year and Locker could perform as a Top 5 QB this week at a bargain price. He doesn’t have the best WR’s but he usually puts up decent numbers with his legs and a lot of Chris Johnson’s production has come through the passing game year and that should continue this week.
Running Backs
- Mike James – Zac Stacy piled up 134 rushing yards vs. a tough Seattle D a couple weeks ago and followed it up with a monster performance with 2 TD’s at home in much better matchup the following week vs. the Titans. I’m expecting a similar performance from James this week after hanging up 154 rushing yards on Seattle, he returns home to face a Miami D that has given up the most points to opposing RB’s.
- Rashad Jennings – Darren McFadden has been ruled out, opening the door for Jennings to get the bulk of touches out of the back field vs. a Giants D that has been in the middle of the pack vs. RB’s this year. A running back combo of James and Jennings will allow you to play studs at most other spots and while still getting good production from your RB positions.
Wide Receivers
- Victor Cruz – He only has two games this year in which he scored a TD, but both of those games resulted in huge weeks. He is a boom or bust player and has an affordable price tag this week on most sites and he is facing a Raider’s D that just gave up 7 TD’s through the air last week to Nick Foles. I think this one of those weeks that Cruz is a top scoring WR option.
- T.Y. Hilton – Hilton’s price tag is extremely low on few sites and his role in the Colts’ offense has expanded in a huge way with Reggie Wayne going down for the year. He was a guy that would put up a big game here and there with his limited role before, but now he is the man for the Colts and will put up those big numbers more consistently. Play him before it costs you much more to do so next week.
- Golden Tate – The Atlanta D has been one of the worst on the year in terms of production given up to WR’s and Tate is priced ultra-low across most sites. How many other minimum priced WR’s on FD are going to give you a good shot at putting up 15 plus fantasy points this week?
Tight Ends
- Zach Ertz – Ertz has seemed to develop a rapport with Nick Foles over the past few weeks and his snap counts continue to climb week after week. His barely above the minimum price on most sites will allow you to punt the TE spot and still have a guy that gives you a good shot a double digit fantasy point production.
- Tim Wright – Wright has been a consistent target of Mike Glennon over the past month and has put up double digit points in 3 of the last 4 weeks and has scored in two straight games. He won’t be a guy that will win you a tournament from his production alone, but his price and production could be conducive to a high scoring lineup.
Defenses
- Colts – The colts are much cheaper than most options at the D/ST position this week and they face a Rams team led by QB Kellen Clemens. He’s barely completed 50% of his passes over the last three weeks and has 2 interceptions and lost fumbles in that time period.
