Daily Fantasy NFL: H2H vs. GPP (Week 6)
Part 1: 50/50’s/Double-ups and Head-to-Head
When playing 50-50’s/Double-ups or head-to-head, you want guaranteed points. This is not where you roll the dice on all-or-nothing players. The idea is to simply produce a solid, well balanced team. It may not be explosive, but it doesn’t matter whether you finish in first place or not, you just need to cash.
Quarterback

Tony Romo – Washington is allowing over 23 FPPG to the QB and the most yards per pass attempt at 9.2. In his 2 meetings with the Redskins last year he threw for 659 yards and 5 TDs.
RG III – The Cowboys are allowing the most FPPG to the QB position. They have also allowed Rivers, Peyton, and Eli to throw for over 400 yards and 3 TDs against them.
Joe Flacco – If you want value, look at Flacco. GB is ranked 26th against the pass and are allowing the 2nd highest QB rating with an average of 107.2.
Running Back
This is a tough week for value RBs, I think you need to spend money.
Arian Foster – I think Foster has a big game against the Rams. The Rams give up over 28 PPG and are the 2nd worst fantasy defense VS the run allowing 25 FPPG.
Marshawn Lynch – Beast mode has over 100 YFS in 3 of his last 4 games. The Titans are allowing 4.3 yards per carry and the 5th most YFS to RBs. He is always a safe bet and seems to play better at home.
Wide Receiver

Pierre Garcon – Dallas ranks 31st in pass defense. Garcon has become RG III favorite receiver by far and is 5th among WR in targets this year with 10.25 per game.
Andre Johnson – He faces the Rams 23rd ranked defense and has the 4th most targets among WRs with 55. The Rams secondary has had a difficult time defending big physical receivers like Johnson.
Reggie Wayne – They don’t get much steadier than Wayne. SD has the 29th ranked fantasy defense against the pass allowing the 3rd most catches and 4th most yards to the WR. The Chargers have also allowed 7 WR TDs this season.
Tight End
Jimmy Graham – He is expensive, but worth it. He is guaranteed points. Graham is averaging almost 4 more FPPG than any other TE or WR.
Jason Witten – Old reliable. Romo’s favorite target will get his points in what should be a shootout.
Kicker
Dan Bailey – Lot’s of scoring opportunities.
Stephen Gostkowski – He seems to be the only steady Patriot right now.
Defenses
San Francisco 49ers – They absolutely shut down the Texans last week, looking like the dominant defense of last year. I see the same result against ARI.
Seattle Seahawks – The Titans run game is not good and the Seahawks have the 3rd best pass defense in football. Look for false starts and turnovers.
Part 2: GPP’s
GPP’s are a completely different story. You need guys to have huge days. GPP’s are all about upside. Value players are just as important as your studs in this game type.
Quarterback

Cam Newton – A lot of people will not be on Cam after his recent struggles. He is always capable of a big game and has a great matchup. The Vikings have the 29th ranked defense against the pass and are allowing 326 passing yards per game.
Matt Schaub – is a great GPP play. He faces the Rams 23rd ranked defense and still has some very good weapons. The Rams are allowing a 106.7 QB rating, and over 28 points per game.
Chad Henne – Can be and has been GPP gold before. He will need to throw early and often in this one. Denver is allowing 347 passing yards per game and Chad will have both his star receivers.
Running Back
Alfred Morris – Dallas has the 25th ranked fantasy defense VS the RB, allowing 21.9 FPPG. Morris was a monster last year against Dallas running for 313 yards and 4 TDs in their 2 meetings.
Willis McGahee – He is mad cheap and allows you to load up elsewhere. He had 26 carries in week 5. The Lions allow 5.3 YPC and 22.4 FPPG to the RB.
Wide Receiver

Dez Bryant – I realize this is obvious, but the reason I have him here is I think you need to play him this week in order to win a GPP. This is not the week to fade him due to his price. Washington may have the worse pass defense in football currently ranked 28th overall and 28th VS the WR.
Josh Gordon – Among WRs with 3 or more games played Gordon is 2nd in FPPG.
Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts – Both of these guys could win you a GPP. They will see a ton of targets and will possibly be playing against back ups by half time. The Broncos are 30th in FPPG allowed to WRs.
Donnie Avery – Just a hunch. Assuming his shoulder is not an issue and he plays, I like his potential against the Raiders. He should be minimum price across most sites and allow you to load up in other areas. Oak is 23rd in FPPG to the WR.
Tight End
Last week I gave you two TE punts and both (Clay & Celek) scored TDs, I will try it again this week.
Garrett Graham – is currently a top 15 TE. With Owen Daniels out, Graham becomes a great value play. The Texans throw to the TE an average of 11.8 times per game. Oh and he is faces the Rams!
Jordan Reed – He was starting to blossom before getting hurt. RG III seems to like him and this will be a high scoring game.
Kicker
Justin Tucker – He has a big leg and Ravens have trouble in the red zone.
Mike Nugent – The Bengals should have plenty of scoring chances.
Defense
Cincinnati Bengals – They are facing a rookie QB and have one of the best pass rushes in football. Pressure on a rookie QB should result in turnovers.
New York Jets – The Steelers do not look good on offense. Big Ben is always good for a few sacks and the Jets have the #2 ranked defense in the NFL.
Good luck Grinders!
