DFS Tournament Report: NFL Week 12
A wild finish to the end of the Monday Night Football game between the Browns and Ravens saw a wild finish in a GPP and a live final qualifier. One player dominated the action on FanDuel and DFS superstar maxdalury took home an amazing four live final seats, two at each site. Here’s a review of what went down:
DraftKings $5M Millionaire Maker ($20 entry)
Keasy started the night with a comfortable lead with his only real sweat being bstewy21 sitting in 30th place with Buck Allen remaining, 27.2 points behind. Bstewy21 would get up to the top five with Allen but that was as far as he would go as Keasy cruised to the million dollar payday with a lineup that included the must have combo of Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin as well as four other players who topped 29 fpts (Adrian Peterson, Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, and Julius Thomas).

Marlee8489 didn’t have Russell Wilson, instead opting for a Ryan Fitzpatrick-Brandon Marshall stack. Add in Peterson, Baldwin, Beckham, and Thomas though and you have more than enough for the top spot in a GPP. Brand0nhouser would make a run with Buck Allen but would come up about six points shy of the top spot and settled for third.

DraftKings $600K Blitz ($300 entry)
This one came down to the very last play. GregieC03 was sitting pretty and looking as if he would lock up the six-figure payday if Cleveland could make the game-winning field goal. Instead, the Ravens blocked the kick and returned it for a TD which catapulted underjones from out of the top five into the lead by the slimmest (.20) of margins. Underjones would also take fourth place and win a live final seat to cap off a great weekend for him.

Bigneo rode the Russell Wilson-Doug Baldwin combo to a comfortable lead heading into Monday Night Football as there was no one within 27 points of his lead that had a player remaining. A couple players would make moves into the top 10 but would not be able to mount a serious threat as Bigneo cruised to victory.

And it was bigneo taking down the other big GPP on FanDuel as he again held a big lead (22 points) heading into MNF and while polskamorda would mount a challenge with Buck Allen, he’d still come up over five points short and finish in second (but at least winning a Live Final qualifier seat).

RotoGrinders vlog host, Assani Fisher, won his second seat in as many weeks, maxdalury had another ho-hum day with two more seats added to his collection, and mbomb44 had a monster day winning three seats including one where he delivered one of the worst DFS bad beats in history to RotoGrinder’s own Cameron when he passed Cam on the blocked FG returned for a TD. Also congratulations to jakz101, aka poker pro Eric Crain, on winning a seat!
